Who likes the new change

Who likes the new change in live chess (in which you can't choose what color you play in random seeks). Do you like it, dislike it, or are you indifferent.

I like it, because it prevents people to acheive ratings they don't deserve, it makes the pairings more realistic, etc.

You didn't think people would voice their opinion both for and against in the existing threads?

Kasparov if you count long term dominance, but Fischer had the best championship run.

We can combine this thread with the one about everyone who doesn't complain about their shoes.

Yes, Loomis, but in some of them, I've seen "Good riddance!" That really makes people feel good (sarcasm). A simple "yes" or "no" is good here.

Captainbob767, not necessarily; you still have to play better than your opponent (though you get a tiny advantage, it doesn't matter at a low-middle level).

I like the new change, however it doesn't allow (quickly) one to work on one color for a period of time. For example, if I was weak at a black opening vs. d4, i would regularly choose black and play every time against d4 or abort until i found that game. This new change still allows that to happen, just you can't specify, so it might take a while to find the combination you are trying to practice with.

i've pretty much ignored these discussions, but I couldn't let this go. Are we really that selfish these days that we waste other people's time starting games with them and aborting when they don't play the first move we like?

Aren't people who resign after they lost their Queen and both Rooks after turn 5 just the scum of the earth?

But no seriously, I am for the change. Good players know that the better player always wins, even when they play Black.

The current thread is not one that comes around every so often for the same old debates. It is a thread that has been started at least 5 times in the last few days alone.
