Chess.com Community Update: The Daily Crown Launches December 1st

ANNOUNCEMENT TO THE CHESS.COM  COMMUNITY:

We are thrilled to introduce a new era of competitive chess fandom: The Daily Crown (2025–2026) — a daily-format tournament hosted by the Gukesh Fanbase in collaboration with Legendary in the Dark Union.

This is not just a tournament. It’s a daily battleground where two passionate communities face off, match by match, day by day. The format is simple: compete, win, and build your legacy — one day at a time.

Time Control: Each game will be played with a 1 day per move format, testing consistency, precision, and long-term strategy.

The tournament officially begins on 1st December 2025.

Special Rules for The Daily Crown (2025–2026)

Special Rule 1: If the first two tournaments result in a draw — either by each side winning one, or by equal total scores — the third tournament will be declared the Do or Die Tournament.

Special Rule 2: If the Do or Die Tournament continues for two months without a clear winner, the result will be decided based on accuracy.

Special Rule 3: In any of the three tournaments, if a game continues for two months without a decisive result, it will be officially considered a draw. However, this rule does not apply to the Do or Die Tournament.

Special Rule 4: A draw in the Do or Die Tournament will not remain a draw. If no clear winner emerges, the game will be reviewed and the winner will be declared based on accuracy.

This tournament is a celebration of consistency, creativity, and community spirit. We invite the entire Chess.com community to follow, support, and be inspired by this saga of strategy, endurance, and pride.
