Tactis are an important part of playing, and winning, chess. Here are some puzzles using tactics where you gain material and/or checkmate. Some of the positions are from my own games. Some are slightly modified and some I made up myself.
Try to guess the checkmates. Clues: Try Scholar's Checkmate, Fool's Mate and a checkmate with the Queen and Knight alone. The rest are pretty easy you don't need clues
