The first Chess.com Troll of the Month contest has just ended as a phenomenal success, thanks to active participation from the chess.com community. A total of 26 members were nominated, 10 of whom received at least 2 nominations, and made it onto the final ballot. In the voting process, a total of 43 votes were cast, greatly exceeding previous expectations, and the race was close and exciting.

The success of this first contest shows that the Troll of the Month contests should be continued. The nominations for the November contest will begin today, on this thread, and close on Dec. 1. The rules of this stage of the contest are the same as those of the October contest, which are specified in the first post of the corresponding thread (http://www.chess.com/forum/view/community/nominations-for-chesscom-troll-of-the-month---oct-2013). In short, members can be nominated for threads they have created, or comment they have made in the forums during the month of November 2013. Each nomination of a particular member must be accompanied with at least one such thread or comment. In addition, beginning with this Troll of the Month contest, a new rule will be implemented: self-nominations will not be valid. Only nominations that a nominee receives from other members will be counted.

With all of that said, nominations are now officially open.

Shailen24

duduobird. u know why.

macer75

Sry, the thread/comment needs to exist in order for the nomination to be valid. Btw, what is this "hurrdurr thing" you guys are talking about? I haven't seen it.

Its a link to a site where theres a dog saying hurrdurr over and over again and its impossible to close

lol... I can see why that was deleted.

macer75

Nomination accepted. Thanks for finding a thread from the beginning of the month btw. Because of when the nominations period starts, often times earlier threads tend to be left out.

macer75

Nomination accepted. I like how the OP changed the title after creating the thread (you can see the original title from the URL).

macer75

Nomination accepted.

A lot more nominations for me is coming

Ok, I'm waiting. Looks like the "2 nominations" rule will have to take effect again this time.

macer75

Well, if you want to nominate him you cna just wait until you see him trolling again on the forums. You shouldn't have to wait long...

KILLEDBYHONEYDIJON

I would like to most honoruably, officially, and excellently nominate DEATHBYRANCHDRESSING for this thread.

1RedKnight99

I nominate DEATHBYRANCHDRESSING for http://www.chess.com/forum/view/community/come-here-if-youve-been-blocked-by-ziryab

sapientdust

letsgohome for pretty much every thread he's in, but here's an example, and another. The force is strong with this one.

Heyy not to be a party pooper but shouldn't there be a "one member one nomination" clause in this contest?  When we've got one guy nominating several people at once this thing could get out of hand.

(This is a serious suggestion, no trolling)

While I'm here I would like to nominate our prohibitive November favorite, "Letsgohome" for this thread in particular: http://www.chess.com/forum/view/general/a-system-better-than-the-current-world-championship-system

Which is not overt trolling, but merely a setup for trolling, pulled off masterfully might I add.

Nomination accepted.

I'll probably have a similar rule for the next contest, but right now there's a "2 nominations" rule aimed toward a purpose similar to what the "one nomination per member" rule would achieve - that is, to limit the number of nominees. The "2 nominations" rule stipulated that a nominee must receive at least 2 nominations to become a candidate on the final ballot. Last month a total of 26 members were nominated, but because of the "2 nominations" rule, only 10 of them made it onto the ballot.

Also, whenever someone is talking about letsgohome and trolling, I always have to mention that letsgohome actually started trolling last month, and got muted for a whole month on the first day that he started trolling, and has recently just returned after serving his "sentence." If you look at some of the threads he created before he got muted, especially the "try to find a blunder" one, you'll see that back then he was even more reckless, obnoxious and pestilent than he is now. Sadly, I must say that the 1 month mute tamed him a bit, and even though he's still a great troll now, he hasn't yet reached his previous level of epicness since
his return.

No self noms thanks.

Thanks. Fortunately 1redknight99 also nominated Mr. RANCHDRESSING, so he will be added to the list. He still needs one more nomination to make it onto the final ballot though.

Irontiger

I nominate learningthemoves for his scientific contributions (thread still active), as well as Xieff for his self-promotion in various threads to obtain the crown last month (need a link ?).

kayak21

I nominate letsgohome for being the most boring person with his brah brah brah in every post. It's like counting sheep. Zzzzzzzzzzzz.

Shailen24

Sometimes, macer75's internet connection has issues.

Oh, and maybe he works, eats, sleeps, and does other things that chess.com forum watch, also.

JMB2010

I nominate HiltonGalaxy for this:
