The German Defense is not a very frequent continuation where Black develops his Queen as early as on move two.

This early Queen move seems unreasonable. Do you remember what Bruce Pandolfini told Josh Waitzkin in the movie Searching for Bobby Fischer? "Don't bring out your queen too early" - was the message (btw, this is what exactly the smiley is saying rapidly if you can't lip-read).

White has a better position. A possible 10. Qc2 attack on e4 is what Black should take into consideration.
