Hello friends, I do not know what's on and if you see the same as me. But it looks like there are MUCH LESS games available than even just 2-3 weeks ago (not to mention before the March catastrophe). Even if I look at ALL STANDARD GAMES, ALL timings (but hyper), and with NO rating limitation, I see no games right now for instance, outside of the one I launched (and nobody has joined so far). When there are games, these are often with no rating limits (and therefore purely BS), or very low rated. I've lost about 250 points in Rapid FFA rating strictly because of that: by mere weariness joined eventually a 1900+ game for instance, so players play nonsense, attack in front, accuse you of cheating if you cooperate with the opp' and promise to report about you for cheating , play for 2nd and ruin your games, and quite often you're targetted because of a even modest 2200-2300 rating and eventually are 3rd or 4th. It's simple, since the reform I dropped by 200 places in the ladder just because of this phenomenon. And if I oblige myself not to play games under let's say 2200, there are far too few. What happened? Do you see the same? Right now: "No open challenges" outside of just ONE (mine, a 2000+ 1 2 FFA). WTF?! It used to be dozens of games beforehand if you put rated, standard, Rapid+Blitz+Bullet, no rating limitation.

I would like to suggest an improvement to game lobby. I would like to filter only anonymous games. It would be great if this feature can be added. Thanks!

Some people from the Internet keep saying that 4 Player Chess is imbalanced. I'm not sure so. Write your arguments about balance there. Here is mine. Moderator sent me about 60.000 of 2200+-rated FFA games. So, here is statistics. Red is winner: 15917 Red 1st Blue 2nd: 3302 Red 1st Yellow 2nd: 9409 Red 1st Green 2nd: 3512Blue 1st Red 2nd: 3622 Blue is winner: 14554 Blue 1st Yellow 2nd: 3169 Blue 1st Green 2nd: 8020Yellow 1st Red 2nd: 9299 Yellow 1st Blue 2nd: 3475 Yellow is winner: 15821 Yellow 1st Green 2nd: 3314Green 1st Red 2nd: 3197 Green 1st Blue 2nd: 8212 Green 1st Yellow 2nd: 3680 Green is winner: 14818 So, statistically, game is more or less balanced while all 4 players are active, then in 3-player stage chances for the player in-between-two-others are 2,5 times (or 60%) lesser.

Ladies and gentlemen of our fine 4 player chess club, and hopefully soon to be the developers of this lovely website chess.com, I bring a new variant to the table. Card chess. Now, I'm not sure if you all are familiar with the concept of no stress chess, but this is fairly close to that. A virtual deck of cards distributes 5 cards to each player, the cards containing pieces (queen, pawn etc.) and in order to move, you must play one of your cards and move the matching piece. It is always capture the king, as you could play a card and put the king in check, but never see the card to kill the king with that piece ever again. Now this in and of itself would be a complete overhaul of chess and add a spicy splash of randomness to the game. But you think that's all? Oh, heck no The same ladies and gentlemen as last time, I present to you ability cards These cards are in a separate hand, with a seperate deck. Each card uses energy, which increases by one after your opponent moves. There are three main types of cards: Aggressive/attacking cards These are single use cards that modify the game in a big way. Cards such as Resurrect-A card that allows you to respawn one of your pieces onto your half of the board Convert-A card that forces a knight, bishop, or pawn to switch sides. and my personal favorite, the rocket launcher. Your king gets a nuclear missile with the movements of a queen, that explodes in a plus shape, wiping out any and all pieces in the explosion. Obviously with fun sound effects, of course. Sabotage cards Not much to explain here, these cards limit opponent movement and use of abilities, or switch around their decks to destroy any plans they had been making. Effect cards These cards last until certain conditions are met, or something is played against them to void their effects Ideas for these cards include Call of Nature-This card permanently transforms all queens into wildebeests, a terrifying fairy piece that it a combination of queen and knight. Shield-A card that adds a protective shield over your king, preventing him from dying once, and can stack. This would also be amazing to put into four player chess, making it even more chaotic and confusing. Anyway that's my proposal, and I really think this would be an absolutely amazing addition to chess.com, and would be extremely popular if given the right amount of attention.

I did a challenge for everyone. Here is a final position of a game, and you should find 7 errors, 7 illogical and strange things, 7 things not normal, 7 anomalys. The first is very easy to find and give and example to what you are searching. Will you find them all? You can zoom to make it more clear. Carrfull : there can have traps, you should make the difference with absurd and unusual between impossible and abnormal. This is a poll for Hyperbullet/Bullet/Blitz players.First off, let me rephrase: I am putting Hyperbullet, no increment Bullet, and no increment Blitz (e.g 30 sec, 1 min, 4 min) under the umbrella of Fast Moves. This is because they require premoving, at least in the endgame. I am putting increment Bullet, and increment Blitz (e.g 1|2, 3|2) under Fast Thinking. This means that while harder to flag because of the increment, you are forced to play more hurried and potentially irrational moves because of time trouble. Following my same line of thought for when I'm cornered, or at least feel like it, I did what I always do : Higher authority. So I went over the heads of the admins, and the person I spoke with both gave me their assurance that it was ok, and even a couple rules clarifications, for which I thanked him/her , ( I'm not saying which ) And I will be incorporating them into my 4PC strategy as fast as I can figure out how to use them. I will no longer be fighting the people who play opposites.
