We have now installed the code needed so that anyone in this group should have access. I mostly work with Version 2 but I switch over to V3 to explore it and try to learn it. I look around, check my games, look at forums, etc. and then consistently can't wait to get back to V2. I find V2 to have everything I need and it mostly presents it in a way that I can find things. V3 has too many moving parts within pages, and the over-use icons is terrible for usability. Granted that there seem to be some improved "features" but I don't see why they can't be incorporated into V2. Seems to me that the emphasis is on "design" and not on providing the user with easy access to the features and information that they need. It is a common problem with recent trends in web design. Designers need to stop designing to impress other designers and start designing for users. I find that V2 works well and I would not object to gradual, incremental updating the design, but this complete change in design philosophy does not make sense to me. So that's my 2-cents worth.

Can we please, please have group/club content in the mobile app!? Without it I will not renew my subscription, as V3 is just too awkward to use on mobile browsers. One cannot, for example, simply request desktop top version, like before: it makes no difference.

Have other people noticed the problem in V3 at the moment where often if you try to select text, it selects the wrong text?

Yesterday, I had occasion to remove myself from a group in which I was an administrator. I tried to do this in V3, but I couldn't find the option. In the place where it normally says "quit group" (that is, in group settings), it said "disable club" instead. I ended up returning to V2 to do it. Is it even possible to do in V3? Also, I could not figure out how to demote myself like I can in V2. Is that possible?

Just noticed that as an admin, I can post to locked threads in V3 (but not in V2). Feels more like a feature than a bug. On the other hand, if this is a feature, then I should be also able to edit my posts in the locked threads in groups where I am an admin, but V3 does not let me do this. However, there is an 'Edit' link in V2 on such posts; that link does not do anything useful in V2, but copying and pasting it into V3 allows me to edit these posts. Might be a good idea to make it into a feature (assuming that the ability to post in locked threads is intentionally given to admins).

I just tried several times to block a user in V3. When I entered the name the list flickered, but the name was not added. (I was able to block the user first time in V2).

A few months ago I sent in a suggestion on how to make it easier to access my own blog. Here is a picture explaining it This would take you directly to the list of your blog posts, not to all blogs like it does when you hover on "Share" and then click on "blogs". Another great idea is the option to have the "my blog box" on your home page, say on the right side where new game, friends and clubs can be found. This would work better if we could sort the boxes on the home page (which box we want to see where and how big it should be etc.) I would also like to see my drafts in the "my blog box" if I have the box on my home page, this would of course be an option. Give feedback on this and come with you own ideas

Hello I've noticed that a match page in V3 has been changed by placing list of games in a subpage. When you get to a match page, neither you can see the score of the match nor you can see the boards (the players participating in the match), but you can see comments instead, sometimes comments of those who don't even participate in the match. I believe that the match comments have much much less priority in comparison with the score and the boards. When I'm on a match page, in order to see the boards I have to click on the 'Games' link which leads to a separate page and the page reloads. That's extremely uncomfortable and I don't see any reason why comments have higher priority to the score and the boards when it has to be vice versa. At the end of the day, a match page is about the game and not about comments, it's not a forum page. Best regards, Sergiy

For quite a while now in V3, some of the time when I use the left icon menu to attempt to access the general forums , I get a 500 error message. When it happens, repeated attempts give the same error message. Other times, the menu and the forums work fine. My only workaround for this bug is to go back to V2.

I can't delete my forums I made in a group. I am admin and made the forum myself. This is what I see when I click on the forum. If I click on "edit forum topic" I can only edit my first comment and the name of the forum, not delete it.

There must be a different sound for a declined rematch request in Live Chess. At the moment it's the same sound for both accepted and declined rematch requests which is confusing.

I have a suggestion on how news could work in v3. I have lots of ideas here, I would appreciate if someone helped me with more ideas or improved the things I have already suggested. It can be hard to give feedback on this if you are not used to v3, but I have been in v3 for 4 months. So this is how I want it. Lots of ideas there, please let me know what you think. ( if the text is small try zooming on your browser, the picture is high quality, chess.com made it smaller) And this is what it could look like as an alert. Just a bigger "box" for news alerts, with some text about the news article. And when you click on the alert it would take you to the news post, not the list of news articles or the groups home page.

I have noticed that friend requests have some bugs in v3. I have sent friend requests to a lot of members who I know (at least I'm pretty sure) accept all friend requests, but they have NOT accepted mine. I have waited months for them to accept but nothing happens. Here is a small list of some of those members: Some of these friend requests are days and some of them are months. I use to have one more person here. John Bartolomew, but he accepted my friend request when it was two weeks old, and only accpeted it because I sent him a message. All these friend requests have been sent in v3. I'm not 100% sure if all of them were sent in live chess to another person in live chess, but most of them are. So they should have gotten a notification about my friend request and they should also get a message on their home page. When Magnus Carlsen logged in to live chess during the first blitz battle qualifier I sent him a friend request. The next day I went to his profile and he had accepted 100+ friend requests but not mine. The weird thing is that I can see them in my friends list in live chess. For example: DanielRensch, I sent him a friend request about two months ago but I'm still waiting for him to accept it. This is what it looks like when I go to his profile: One last bug: Sometimes in my friends box on my home page I see that a friend is in live chess, but when I go to live chess I can't find him. So I sent him a message and asked if he was in live at that exact time, he said no, he was not. I know that this person is using v3. As far as I know this only happens to v3 users. V2 had a "next ready game" button to go to the next game in vote chess. V3 needs the same.

Every time I post on a group forum using V3, my comment appears twice. This is very annoying, especially because deleting the second post still leaves [COMMENT DELETED].

Hello, There must be a 'Quote' or 'Reply' button in Messages. It can be extremely uncomfortable when you have a conversation with someone in private messages and you have 4-5 topics raised in different messages. So in order to refer to one of them you need to cite another person. There is such opportunity in the old version of the website when you can simply reply to a certain message with the quote attached in the bottom of the message. Best regards, Sergiy

Hello, I would suggest using white overlay colour for inactive boards. At the moment it's black. Black overlay colour looks awkward since the boards are placed on white background. White overlayer looks natural in this case. White overlayer suggests that inactive boards fade out and become transparent which is logical.
