What does the chess.com community believe can make chess.com better?! Any ideas? Thank you!

Should one ever resign in a game? Having recently watched: Searching for Bobby Fischer, I was alarmed to note that Josh's Teacher encourages Josh to feel contempt for an opponent, and to hate them; also, that Josh should always WANT to win. This made me feel rather uncomfortable as to whether I should resign or not if I am in a bad position, since in the back of my mind sits the idea that the opponent want to win and that they hate me! Should I resign and not waste their time? (Just like what I did in the attached game?)

Hi ! I am 20 year old . Chess Enthusiast . I just want to Improve , Improve and Improve !! I learnt Chess when I was 14 but did not play more than 2-3 games next 2 years . Then I suddenly found Chess.com in 2011 at 16 and fell in Love with chess We can play Training Games in specific Openings / Play Specific Positions where we feel Uncomfortable . This is a Great way to Eradicate your weaknesses I love learning in a group or with someone . Looking forward to it
During the last few months, I have designed and taught two popular online classes for Chess.com University: Chess 012 Strategy and Tactics for 1200 - 1500 Players and Chess 013 Opening Proficiency for 1200 - 1500 Players. In terms of the format, these classes resemble online college courses and are learner-friendly. I plan on teaching Chess 014: Endgame Proficiency for 1200 - 1500 Players later this year but wanted to ask the members of Chess.com University what they are interested in. Should we offer any classes aimed at youth chess players? Is there any interest for classes aimed at new players that cover everything from how to castle, capture, decipher chess notation, etc. to everything an individual must know to reach 1200 USCF/FIDE level? What about classes for players in the 1500 - 1800 ELO rating range? What topics would you be interested in? We need more input from the students to further improve Chess.com University. Feel free to leave some feedback! Thanks!

How much time Anand would spend with the prodigies Live ? Thank You !
I've tried to find the correct and updated definitions of the time controls on Chess.com, and pretty much everything I can find points to THIS PAGE. However, that page only mentions Bullet, Blitz, and Standard, whereas my Stats page has (at least so far) Blitz and Rapid. Can anyone point me to an updated page showing which time controls classify as bullet, blitz, rapid, and standard chess time controls on Chess.com? Thanks!

I have a couple of tasks which I'm thinking require a "chess engine"... but tell me if I'm barking up the wrong tree, please. First, I'm trying to work through Silman's "The Amateur's Mind", but I'm finding it next-to-impossible to follow the game moves in my head. I'd like a digital chess board that I can set up with any position and then make moves for both sides, so I can follow along with all the examples in the book. And second, I'm going to start to work on learning new openings, and I'd like something to both help me do that and to analyze my moves. Is a chess engine like Stockfish what I need? What's the best way to install that in Windows or Android? Thanks in advance!

Hi everyone! I'm new in Chess.con university. So instead I made a foroum realted to my pokemon guessing game in pokemon fans but i'll make it a little diffrent. These are the rules: The leader gets to make the chess puzzle and the rest have to guess the correct move. After 1-4 days the leader will post the next move. 1st guess(100% points) 2nd guess(75% points) 3rd guess (50% points) 4th guess (25% points) At the 5th guess the leader will give the answer and gets to make the question again. RULES: 1. If you are guessing, you cannot use chess programmes like Fritz, etc. 2. The leader CAN use chess programmes to find out the best move. 3. Do not hack my account to change the points. 4. The leader is the user making the question. 5. Do not make the question until you got the correct move. 6. No copying others' questions. 7. Enjoy!^_^
