With so many opening courses available on Chessable, it can be hard to decide which one to focus on. In this topic, we compare and contrast various opening courses. Share your experiences with different openings, discuss their strengths and weaknesses, and help others choose the right course for their playing style and level.

any 1know a few good free course on positional play~1500 elo ?
Hi there. I have been working through some free and some paid for courses a couple of hours a week, and making some progress. Today I logged in and started where I left off on Everyone's First Chess Workbook and I can't move any of the pieces to complete the puzzle.  Its is the same for all the courses I have.  I also tried Review All to see if some random puzzle would work but no joy there either.   Just to be clear, I'm on web version on a laptop using the built in key pad. The cursor moves but it doesn't register selecting a piece.  Cant select or drag a piece,  doesn't show the moves, can highlight the Hint button by moving the mouse over it but can't select it. Same with Forward and Back button. If I click on the three dots in the bottom left corner I can move pieces in the Analysis Board or Play against Computer.  Obviously I don't want to do that as it tells me exactly how to solve the puzzle and it doesn't record any progress.  No problem anywhere else on chess.com. I've solved the Daily puzzle and been playing my games without any issue, its just the course puzzles.

There is a problem in the Course "One Pawn Can Win It All". The part where it says "What It Takes to Win" only shows pawns, no kings and it doesnt let me move the pawns. So what am I supposed to do?

Hover mouse over "Learn" in left side panel for beta club people using beta feature, then click openings. It say 'learn every opening' but when you click on the lessons to learn the opening, it doesnt actually teach you how to play the opening. It just teach u the main ideas behind the opening. Chess.com should make courses and lessons on how to play specific openings.
Chess.com has brought Chessable courses to the chess.com website but the courses don't have the same settings as Chessable so you can't do much with the courses on chess.com. Please tell me that Chess.com intend to have the same course settings for the Chessable courses here on chess.com at some point in the future.

According to https://support.chess.com/en/articles/10319180-how-does-the-30-day-money-back-guarantee-work I sent email to cb_hello@chess.com to request refund, however no response from chess.com.  Are there any other ways to request refund?
I feel that Chessable should add certificates as a sense of motivation to people who've completed courses at the end ( Comment your thoughts below )

My chessable account has been created through my chess.com account and the email associated with my chess.com account. I HAVE to log in through my chess.com account because I didn't get to create a separate password. The only problem is my phone can't really load the web version of chess.com anymore. Would it be possible to switch my login so that I can login through email AND my chess.com username? I'm hoping to buy a lot of courses so that I can study while I'm on a road trip in august. Support, please help!

I'm aware that Chess.com is working on a solution to import learning progress. However, I’m concerned that it might only support a one-time import, rather than full bi-directional synchronization. For a truly seamless user experience, it’s important that both platforms stay connected and automatically update each other as progress is made. I don’t just want Chess.com to support one-time progress import from Chessable—I hope for true cross-platform synchronization. This means any updates or progress made on either platform—Chess.com or Chessable—should sync in real time across both. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- (Source: https://www.chess.com/news/view/announcing-courses#faq)

Is there a timeline for when our progress in chessable courses will be carried over to Chess.com?
Greetings!  Just finished I just finished, "Intermediate Starter Kit" by Christof Sielecki. I also just joined this forum, and this is my first post. To start, I couldn't find any way of searching this forum to see if there was any other discussion on this course, so I just decided to post new. Overall, the course was great, and I learned a ton. The course made me think, was good for my level, and I would absolutely recommend it to anyone! My feedback is on the very last topic, "The Lucena Position". 28 minutes into the video, coach Christoff advises that after White brings the rook to the 4th rank, Black can do nothing other than keep checking the white king (allowing the white king to creep towards the 5th rank without risking the pawn so White can secure victory.) I decided to practice the position against BOTs, and found at least 4 other defenses Black could attempt (after the white rook is on the 4th rank) where the solution is different. I guess part of the goal is to know the solution to all of Black's defenses ahead of time so we don't blunder! Below are snapshots of the 4 other defenses. I am guessing most of you reading this will laugh and say the solution for each of theses defenses should be obvious to any intermediate player, but I didn't think so, and the last one (on the bottom) I actually found the solution to be "enlightening" enough that my OCD made me want to post feedback, which I hope is received positively. Overall, I am looking for courses and lessons with exactly these types of problems so I can study them and be prepared for them in advance! And thanks to everyone for all you do!!!!
