So does a person need 36 different people when posting a 4 player NCV or WOF post on Variants.world? Or is it just 9 unique?

In Thermopylae chess, I can't seem to figure out how to play. I get the basics, but how can green lose?

Hi variant players, and testers. I created VorChess, and other variants to be tried in Castelgar, BC, Canada. I have at least 2 variants now at the Castlegar Public Library. We play in the basement Saturdays. VorChess is a new concept complete with rules.  Thanks, Gabe

When I go in the variants lobby I see a variant marked with a white pawn and called "chess". It is just like regular chess but somehow a variant. The description just says "standard chess". Do any of you know what this is?

How many variants.world post can i post each week,is there a limit like only one or two posts each week?

I have an idea for a new rule / gimmick. how it works is that a king can move into check if the piece  moving would put the other king in check  an example would be white putting there king in range of blacks rook, however if black moves there rook then the black king gets captured by whites bishop

this would be cool ngl… if there was 6 players only problem is that the board would have to be different since hexagonal chess doesnt exist… yet… 6 player chess! this would be cool so u can make missiles to castle a peice all the way to the enemy side as if it was a missile exploding them! castling multiple options i guess…..

I was going to make an FNAF-type minigame custom. The fog is on to cover the vents. You check the vents, and you block them off with the duck to make sure the other player doesn't capture your royal and end your game. The problem is, Duck Chess and Fog of War are incompatible. Do you think it could be made that Duck and Fog are compatible? I understand the reason they can't be together is because people could use it to see where pieces are in the fog. I would suggest that all spaces in the fog are highlighted for the duck, but if there's a piece where it is placed, just don't let it be placed (meaning: click on a piece in fog, not work). Thanks!

Shatranj is one of the oldest forms of chess, it is over 1200 years old and originates from Persia. The pieces in shataranj look the same as normal chess pieces, but move differently. Both kings start on the d file, and both queens are on the e file. The rest of the setup is similar to normal chess. the queen can only move one space to the diagonal, and it is called a ferz the bishop can only move two squares to the diagonal, and is called a alfil the king is called a shah and moves like a normal king the rook is called a rukh and moves like a normal rook the knight is called a faras and moves like a normal knight the pawns are called piyadeh, and move like normal pawns. they cannot move two spaces on the first move and are promoted to a ferz on the 8th rank I think new pieces would need to be developed to replace the chess pieces as well, otherwise it would be confusing. This variant is similar to chaturanga, but would has a few key differences. What do you think?

1: Chess with checkers, but swap the image of the checkers with random pieces on the board 2: Normal chess, but either adding capturing like in checkers, or replace all capturing with how it is in checkers

The blockbuster moves like a king, but it has a special ability: It can move into bricks. It also can break a brick but loses its ability.

there should be a variant of normal chess but different pieces have different abilities and you should be able to play as a zombie and the way to play is a green pawn is in the middle of the board it is an ai until it captures a king when that happens it is capturable as a zombie you have to keep that pawn alive if it captured your king and you must defeat the opponent by either infecting them or capturing there pieces I'm still working on it and the green pawn is a headcrab zombie from half life

Which Staff of the clubs "Variants" or "Custom Variants" is most likely to develop and officially add more pieces that can be put on Custom variants?  I just wanted to know, which club is more likely to officially add more pieces which can be used,to hint myself on better NCV and WOF positions.
