I have it on good authority(the lord god himself' he's a Man UTD supporter too) that sir Alex has made a bid for Santa Claus from Aurora Borealis FC in the January transfer window in an effort to shore up the leaks in our defense ,the idea being playing Santa as the solitary central defender in a new 1 1 5 4 system. Having the benefit of controlling time Santa can be everywhere at once and the Utd defense will become impenetrable another great signing by Sir Alex. Are there anymore signings you know of.I hear chelsea have made a move on Rip Van Winkle but are having difficulty getting him to wake up & sign the contract ,and Rumplestiltskin but he's still depressed since that girl guessed his name and he lost a bloody fortune.
The below comments were posted in the general forum but without any result. I hope someone here would have the answer. THANKS. :) "Here is an opening which i would like to know? barbalap opening move its a farmer from iceland's opening which he uses to beat a grandmaster, amazingly in 197+? (sorry cant remember the exact year) I hope someone here know this opening & Thanks"

Three hours left in the voting for this game: http://www.chess.com/votechess/game.html?id=12750 It's a very close vote between Rxh2 and Bxh2, for our next move, with Rxh2 ahead by one vote right now. Rxh2 is losing the game. So, maybe, is Bxh2. But I think Bxh2 may offer better drawing chances. I posted analysis in the team comments. If anyone has a chance it would be helpful if they could take a look and vote for what they think best.

The like was said of television in the 1970's that to much TV was ruining the art of conversation, families would sit around and watch the goggle box and not say anything about how their day was or whats going on in their lives. But along came the saviour of conversation," or is it"? the Internet chat room, where people are free to be whoever they like, say whatever they like, act however they like without consequence or so they thought. The consequence has been in my opinion that people who spend to much time in Internet chat rooms forget how to interact sociably with others they allow their worst characteristics to push forward and dominate their better characteristics.I joke with my friends about this kid, must have been about 14 giving me sh*t during a game so badly I had to diable the chat and when the game was over we had to begin another game and I spoke to this kid and asked him why he was so mean and aggressive and he said "it was fun to do it you cant do in real life" I told him the consequences and he was very pleasant afterwards and actually made a friend request which I obliged ,I'm sure he still probably shreads people during other games. What do you think, think of it as a social or a antisocial experiment.Have you experienced it

The best way to counter 1.d4 would be benoni gambit or c5 (same thing). I was playing a chessmaster in Harvard Square MA and he told me that black has the c-pawn advantage. He was right. If white takes 2. dxc5... then his d4 would have been a waste since he lost a center pawn. Also it would be hard and pointless to protect the pawn if it took c5. If the person take, do 2. ... e5. This gains the advantage in the center, and your bishop can just take the pawn. If the person doesn't take 2. d5..., then bring your e pawn to e5 and let the en passant happen. Then take with the f pawn and you have the advantage. If the person protects it with a knight or anything else, you have the options of taking the pawn or bringing out your own pices. Don't be worried if he takes c5 early or later in the game. It will become helpful to you.
Hecman (Red Army) is completely outplayed in this lower board match game between us and Team Philippines. But on his 22nd move, he sets a vicious trap with 22. Ba7!?, hoping against hope that Black will allow mate along the h3-c8 diagonal. His fondest hopes are realized when Black plays 23...Nxe4??, allowing a mate in three. White lost all the battles and then won the war with the final shot. 23...Qxe4, of course, would have been an easy win for Black.

Aldums shared this variation with me. This involves a Queen sac in the opening in the Grand Prix Attack of the Sicilian: In the diagrammed position, the fly in the ointment seems to be 8...Ke8. White has two choices -- he can either take the perpetual with 9. Bf7, or submit to a worse position than he would have with 8...Kc7 or 8...Kc6. After 8...Ke8, White can try for more with 9. Bxg4, but after 9...Nc6, Rybka gives Black a 1 1/2 pawn lead -- well above the other variations. And there is good reason -- due to the absence of the White Queen, c2 becomes a target for Black's Knight. And in the meantime, ...e5, getting the rest of Black's pieces out, is coming. Should White try for more with 9. Bxg4 in the 8...Ke8 variation, the Black King is much safer on e8 than it would be on c6 or c7. There are two games in this opening in the database; both of them involve Black playing 8...Kc6 and losing. Here they are, for what they're worth:
White plays nearly perfectly for the first 20 moves. On his 21st move, he plants his Knight on the rim instead of the center of the board and a few moves later, Black creates an outside passed pawn. 42 moves later, this outside passer forces White's resignation.

Aldums' sixth sense led us to the win -- he led us through a line that got us the better game; 64 Points promptly dropped a piece and then timed out.
