I have suggested that the YCA use this website to discuss problems unofficially rather than comment on problems between meetings. At least I think I did, but then I have Brain Damage.

finally a win for Clayton Laners and my draw made a small contribution. Another KI and another Samish. My opponent got the better of me but ran short of time and had to agree a draw

Four Y.O.B.S played for Calderdale versus Netherton pinched the points before nine and ran. When I left we had two wins two draws, my game against an upandcoming young lad.

I have decided to post this game as punishment to myself for playing the worst game of chess I have played this season. The game was littered with mistakes by me but on the plus side I learnt a lot of lessons. There are some common themes throughout the game, 1. I never take advantage of blacks pinned pawn at any point, 2. I make bad decisions with captures and moves. I analysed the game for an hour after I got home and came to the conclusion that I should stick to playing the Spanish Game.

We have another YOBS, Just_Testing (some of us are good at being anonimous ) from Sheffield. Doing my Hercule Poirot, I think he/she is an over the board player.
On the NEW YCA website there is a discussion on Juniors, if J_T has any experience on the subject(Sheffield are miles ahead of the rest) maybe s/he can advise.

Last season, Mathew played for HBA, this season one game for HBB, is Mathew available to play for HBA tomorrow.

Probably the hardest game I've played to date. I made mistakes, I know, but I don't think I made a fool of myself....Its all good practice

I have been reading Woodseats website, there is a report from the Star regarding a Lighthning on Saturday(I presume tomorrow) at Woodseats Club. I presume therefore the Woodhouse match with Calderdale has been postponed or another venue arranged.
I played a re-arranged match earlier this month, was it for the same reason? We have to play the other Sheffield team later this season, will we have a weakened team again? If other associations try to develop on the same lines will Sheffield be so accommadating? Where is Pittsburg?
