I am not attacking the actual soundness of the Sicilian or Alapin. I just think, by looking at these games, that players sub 2000 would have a hard time defending while White’s game is easy to play.

Nothing is proven by your games. We can all look at your losses with it. Im sure your hand picking you "best" wins and calling them normla games with the alapin. The Sicilian is not refuted.

I think a lot is proven with a club player winning 3/4 of his games with this.

I am attacking the practical soundness of the Sicilian. I have a somewhat different viewpoint than Staples13, who is arguing for the theoretical soundness, but I am still arguing for the Alapin like he is.

Against players 100+ rated higher than me, yes, as I frequently say play against them.

to be honest, I just dont think that 74% winning rate makes it a refutation to the Sicilinan
The Ruy Lopez Brentano Gambit has 100% white winning rate. Take THAT Alapin Variation!
