Bulldog Chess Ratings

The diagrams above display the current bulldog chess ratings. If you are unaware of what bulldog chess is you can read about it here.

Feel free to report results here and remind me if I have not updated the ratings 14 days after the last completed game. If you want to find an opponent to play rated bulldog chess games with, then please use the forum linked here.

Rating system:

The ratings are based on ELO (not glicko which chess.com uses).  More about ELO can be read here.

Everyone starts with 1200 rating. Unrated players are calculated as if they have 1200 rating

The k-factor used for calculating ratings is 100 and the table for rating adjustments can be found here.

A player can't lose more than half of his rating in one game. For example a player with 1250 rating can't lose more than 25 rating in one game.

(1250 - 1200)/2 = 25

For a game to be rated for bulldog chess the following conditions must be met:

• The game must qualify to be a bulldog chess game. Roughly this means the game must be played on a 10x8 board and only use pieces from traditional chess and list of pieces used in bulldog chess. Ultimately the bulldog chess federation can decide whether a game counts as bulldog chess games or not. No formal definition exists.
• The game must follow the Correspondence Chess Rules for Variant-Chess
• Each player must play at least 1 move
• It must not be stated that the game is unrated (Unrated games don't count towards ratings)

Players must gain rating before they appear on the leaderboard. Inactive players will be removed from the leaderboard. A player will be considered to be inactive when they have no game in progress and not completed a game in the last 5 months (counting from the start of the month 5 months ago). An inactive player will appear on the leaderboard again after they complete a rated game.

Other stats:

While it is mainly ratings I post here, there are other stats that I can also post by request. Don't ask me to post "everything". Just what you are interesting in. Those stats include:

• Ongoing games
• Inactive players rating
• winrate by color, drawrate, number of completed games, longest game time, avg game time
• List of players reaching a milestone in order (1300, 1400, 1500, 1600, 1700)
• List of players #completed games, #white games, #black games, winrate, timeout ratio, highest rating, best win, win streak, best win streak, time since first game, time since last game
• List of a specific players completed games
