A little recap:
You will be allied with the player in front of you. It will be red and yellow against blue and purple.
Checkmating 1 king is enough for victory and it will count as a checkmate at the start of the checkmated players turn.

I want to play too with time thief and joker
What color pieces would you like? You can choose from here: https://www.chess.com/clubs/forum/view/bulldog-chess-templates

I have a proposal for an alternate ruling for the "zombie" piece, since my previous ruling does not seem to be very popular.
Zombie: Moves like a rook, but when captured, returns to its starting position instead of being taken off the board. Could replace rooks in an 8x8 board.

I like this: Moves like a PAWN, but doesn't move to capture, and any captured piece simply turns into a zombie instead of getting captured, may not capture zombies.

I dunno, maybe something like this. It can't move back to the 1st rank, but may move back 1 space otherwise. On the other hand, I think simply pawn is good, since if it's too powerful, it won't want to capture other pieces.

The zombie has been used in 2 games and are used in 1 ongoing game. I think it is a reasonable piece and no modification needed. Feel free to come up with new pieces, but why try to get rid of a reasonable piece?
Pieces that are invulnerable are in my opinion (from experience) not healthy for the game. Either the forms of coming back after being captured or not being able to get captured at all counts for this. The reason is that the game easily turns into the invulnerable piece just tries to capture something, even protected pawn without the enemy being able to do much, except trying to do the same.
So pieces returning or not being able to get captured needs some serious conditions or drawbacks. In event chess I have some examples:
One event makes knights impossible to get captured, but on the other hand, the knights can not capture something either, so they can not be used to capture protected pieces really.
Another event makes the queen being able to return, but to return to the board a player needs to skip 3 turns and to not move his king after skipping turns (moving king resets the counter).
Another event makes 1 piece able to return, but only once/game.
The dwarf is an interesting piece that can not be captured when it is only attacked once, but it can get captured if it is attacked several times.
There are many ways to design these conditions/drawbacks, but without it, I don't think a rook moving piece that returns when captured is a healthy piece.
