I was playing my chess moves tonight (deciding move for my game against Tomato), and I heard my cat make some noise when he is normally sleeps. So I checked and he caught a mouse:

The mouse is nearly dead, so I brought it outside, and maybe a raccoon, owl, or some other animal will eat him. Now back to chess.happy.png

I started the 4-player game with @Bad_Dobby_Fischer and @josephyossi against @unc07 and @McGoohan:

Should I also moderate the game with @aidanB1 and @HorusTheThird against @thegreatauk and @Junebug444?

Fly-Eagles-Fly

HorusTheThird, do you still want to play with Crippled Amazons, Bulldogs, Time Thief and Hunter/Joker? What color pieces do you want to use, or just brown and white?

HorusTheThird

Yeah, I want to. And we can use any piece color you want. If you don't want anything, I say we just play brown and white.

HorusTheThird

I'm going to limit my games to a maximum of three. I have one against johnhs, and the "superdog" tournament game with THE TOMATO, and now one with Fly-Eagles-Fly(what's with the name?).

Bad_Dobby_Fischer

how is that a win? the i2 pawn is only transparent to white pieces

captaintugwash

No, the witch makes all adjacent pieces transparent, friend or foe. So the white pawn i2 is invisible to black, because it's next to the black witch on j3.

you don't get it

Witch (W)

The witch is transparent to friendly pieces, and she also makes all adjacent pieces (friend and foe) transparent to friendly pieces (but pieces are not transparent for the witch). The witch does not capture other pieces, but she can be captured. Although pieces are not transparent to the witch, she is very agile; she combines the movement of queen, knight, and can jump orthogonally and diagonally two squares. Transparency of a piece means that other pieces can move, attack, and capture right through the piece.

Bad_Dobby_Fischer

these are the witch rules

Waredude
That means that only friendly pieces can go through it. Not vice versa.
evert823

The white pawn on i2 is transparent for the black Queen.

friendly pieces refer to the witches friendly pieces. So a black witch can make a white pawn transparent to other black pieces.

I'll be honest, there was a bit of me thinking "I hope that's checkmate because otherwise I look really dumb".
