A simple question

Why is naming and shaming not allowed? To clarify, I am not talking about “this player cheated” and no more evidence. I’m talking about if you have actual, real, physical proof.

I only know of 2 online places which have this rule. Chess.com, which currently seems to be overrun with cheaters because it’s too slow to catch them with reports, and Hypixel Minecraft server, which is also infested with cheaters.

My suggestion is to not allow name calling and throwing out users as cheating, but make it allowed to post evidence and an accounts name if the evidence is convincing.

To prevent abuse of this, you could have multiple false reports result in a mute.

Generally speaking, it doesn't really do any good and attracts potential false accusations, cherry picking to support a false result, misunderstanding of what is actually proof and what's normal, etc.

It also creates a more toxic environment overall.

If a member is suspected, they should be reported. If you are unsure, join the Cheating Forum club and post anonymized games asking for feedback.

Or if you just want to have this specific discussion, join that club as well.
