there was a list.

No Blarg you weren't there. or at least I didn't see you.

sorry charlie... perhaps it was just a hard list to make and include every whacky guy.

if I had to name every guy from the forums that I've read and occasionally enjoyed (well in her case I guess she Didn't enjoy them, did she?)...

I'm sure I would miss people.

I figured I probably wasn't on it since I'm able to comment. But yeah, these are big forums and it's hard to keep track of everyone. I also don't deliberately try to get on people's bad side--it just kind of happens. And that sounds kind of incriminating, I admit.

It changed its Facebook relationship status to "It's complicated" so now I'm worried.

Careful, lest you be considered a troll on this thread.  ;)

LV, It's always been my type of opening anyway. People should be glad that I don't play 1.e4, because I would probably play the French Exchange too. And it seems like there's a new thread on that every day now.

The point of chess is to suck the entire life out of the position and then win.

ArgoNavis

Wow!

A troll makes a thread to criticize trolls!

Team Irony!!!

There are indeed pointless threads, insipid threads, silly threads and even malicious threads, but there are also interesting threads, educational threads and worthwhile threads.  To say there are only useless threads is terribly unjust and inaccurate.  The nonsense threads do get the most attention, maybe because they are easier.  But even in those thread we get clever and thought-provoking comments quite often.  Chess.com is a mix of people, a mix of minds and a mix of topics. With the exception of malicious threads, I, personally, wouldn't want it any other way.

ArgoNavis

Malicious threads?

As in malicious software?

No, like polyester in a garment that says it's 100% cotton.

No, like polyester in a garment that says it's 100% cotton.

That's not a problem

But you could get in trouble if you sold a garment that says it's 100% polyester and ends up to contain cotton.
