As a retired lawyer, I am eminently qualified to be a community defender.  My first two questions are, do I get to use a sword in defense of the community, and do I get paid a salary, or per unit based on how many malefactors I put to the sword?

that sounds like a new title in the making - from retired lawyer to the *trumpets* RETIRER.
