I typed in "chess.com" to see what popped up, now I'm a premium member.
How did you find chess.com

Same for me, googled chess, chess.com was the first option, and after spending a few days here, I checked out a few other sites, and they all paled in comparison. So now I'm a premium member as well.

I just wanted to play chess with people whenever I want so I was thinking about the site and then created an account.

Pretty much the same for me too - after my wife refused to play with me for the 100th time, I googled and now I'm a premium member too.
Slightly different, my wife convinced me to play scrabble with her and our friends on facebook. I figured there must be a comparable chess app, which there is, sponsored by chess.com. I checked out the home site, and there you have it. Never use facebook anymore.
On the address bar, I was looking for chess sites so I typed in chess.com, and I found this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My dad told me about it. A friend bought me a really nice chess board for my birthday, and I told my dad that he had to come over so that I could play on it. We hadn't played together in a while, and this made us both want to start playing more. He found this site, told me about it, and now I've gotten my daughter, brother, and nephew to join too.

i had not played chess for years (over ten) even though i've always enjoyed it. none of my friends play at all and yahoo chess is insanely annoying to play on. so one day i typed in "online chess" and found this site. took less than a month for me to become a paying member.

Google - we all should do what we can to ensure chess.com stays at the top of Google searches for chess. As I understand it if you have a Google indexed page then link it to chess.com to help Erik & co. (is that correct?)
No doubt there are web experts out there who can further suggest how to keep it highly rated by Google

I started playing online chess at chesshere.com, and one day I accidently left the "here" off, as I expected the address to be auto completable. I joined then, and a month or so later I became a gold-level member.

Was playing on GAMEKNOT, until oneday I just googled chess and this site came out top of the search, well I closed my GAMEKNOT account and joined here, and gotta say that this is an excellent site and it just keeps me wanting to play chess more and more!

Chess.com added a brilliant application to Facebook. It's like a condensed version of the online chess section of the website, and is, by a long way, the best application I've found on the 'book. That obviously led me here, and I've since stopped using the Facebook version. Why use the copy when the real deal is right here?
Seriously, though, Erik and the gang, that was a stroke of genius making an application available on Facebook.
ED.
So how did you find chess.com.
