I have no idea either of its elo but I say... Congratulations!
Just beat the chess.com computer level 7

They have had several threads about this, and unfortunately, the level strengths of the computer seem to be based a lot on the hardware the end user is on at the time. For example, some people would report that level (x) was near impossible for them on their powerful desktop but a joke to them on their small portable device, and similar things. Different computers seemed to have yielded different strengths. Sure, the engine is server side and I'd think would be consistent going out to the world, this is what they've come up with in other threads. Anyone able to confirm?

I think levels 1-8 are fairly independent of the processor, because at these levels, Stockfish purposely plays with some inaccuracy (by design, many moves are slightly inaccurate, and every so often it purposely plays a mistake, or even a blunder).
But at level 10 Stockfish will probably do better with a faster processer devoted just to one game. Here it's designed to win, and that's where it is limited by the software and cpu (not purposely handicapped).
Btw, winning at level 7 is a pretty good feat. At my best I could only do that in about 1 out of 5 games, but it took a lot of thought between each move (20 minutes or more sometimes).
That's when I decided to start playing other people by correspondence, but with slow play, I could never be sure my opponent was using an engine. So now I play only variant chess games (no engines), and it's been really fun.
If anyone would like to join a tournament of Bulldog chess (about 1 move per day) check the end of (this thread). I've been thinking of adding to the bracket if I can find 3 or 4 more competitors.
I got a hammering every game. I felt I got into good positions and the just lost. One move blunders due to lapse in focus.
Finally I got the better of the computer at level 7. No help from any engine. I played the game on the phone app so I cant post the board. If there is a way to do it then dont know. However here is the pgn -

How strong is the chess.com computer at level 7? Should this win be seen as impressive and a proof that I need to focus better during games. On review I felt some of the moves by the computer were a little iffy. So I am not too sure on how strong the computer was.
