Trying to find the good in the bad

Another day another blunder, but im posting this analysis mostly just for my own sanity. I realize i complain alot on here its a work in progress but reaching out to other people is the only solution i have found to work so i dont go insane when i lose myself in my own head. This is a game i played where i felt like i ruined the entire game with a terrible move, but after thinking about it I figure i have to just look at it. Face the mistake, face the self humiliation and just try to learn from it.

It was a 15|10 and i was way down on time compared to my opponent i think i was at 3:54 to there 11 mins or something at the end. And i just let it get to me. Silly mistake but heres the game. Like i said leave advice if you have it but im posting this more for my own sanity.

Don’t beat yourself up- you played quite well. These errors seem to be concentrated towards the end of the game. Try to put more focus at the end of the game maybe?

Hi mate, yes I thought you played great for the main part in this one. One blunder towards the end of the game can easily happen especially when the clock is ticking.

For what it's worth the only move I didn't really like was 10... Qd8 retreating to defend a pawn when 10... Be6 does this while developing a piece. Funnily enough you play Be6 anyway next move and bring the queen back out to it's original square at move 16 so this strikes me as a loss of tempo.

Don't worry about the blunder... you know what you did wrong and you can learn from it next time. I am forever doing this... !!

The game was pretty good anyways. I'd suggest you don't give too much importance to bishops over knights. Bishops are only more valuable if they can find open lines and diagonals. Neither one of your bishops has an important role in this game, so why bother trying to retain them? You end up taking his knight with your bishop because his knight was more active.

Thank you that was a very useful analysis

I thought Ng5 was a bothersome move, but now i see that it doesn't lead anywhere good for my opponent. Thanks for the feedback

Sigh... start learning the checknhover. Shows you the better side of the knight. I personally would be happy to get development and more center pawns for a bishop... and I play the checknhover.

You should post our daily game. The most recent one.

You played very well against me and there were no blunders for either of us.
