Yes...aka cyborg chess. But, wouldn't it make sense to first develop skills as a human-to-human player?

That would be a good approach if your main goals are to understand chess deeply and/or feel comfortable playing independently with other people. On the other hand, matters could be very different if your goals are to explore theory and/or search for a shallow picture of the truth.

Ok ICC definitely looks most like what I'm looking for here I guess I will just have to bide my time and become a competent chess player in the meantime. Thanks again for the speedy repsonse.. omg I need that computer!!
