For sore losers who usually accuse opponent as cheaters, please have a look at July 2019 statistics!!

  • 2,782,440 accounts reviewed for fair play.
  • 6499 banned!!

It means, 99.98% of cheating accusations are false!!

You can always accuse your neighbours whenever you lost/misplaced items in your house. And lack of proof from the police doesnt mean they are innocent.

In reality, I will be more interested in the percentage of incidents where neighbours stole items. happy.png

People these days............looks negative to me. I saw that statistic too, people these days don't know how to make this world a better place.........

I get so much cheating accusations only because my ratings are 1700+..............................

When will people grow up even including good people like us? Its life right? wink.png

You are right, most accusations are false, if someone beats me, theres a chance they are better than me, but it's not end of the world. I just work hard to earn time to do chess, then I can maybe surpass them.

In other words, some people are paranoid about online shopping, many of online sellers will be scammers. Media or word of mouth will spread stories.

If you look at data of millions of transactions in online shopping, you will be surprised only a tiny minority are scammers.  Majority of online merchants are true businessmen.

Bruh a lack of proof includes some people accusing others for no reason. Same thing!

@drmrboss you did the math wrong; it's supposed to be 99.998% of all cheating accusations are false.

Ya!  Most chess players are too paranoid. There was this one NM who used to accuse everyone of cheating.

Ughhhh. @FLChessplayer. Really? That guy isn't only a sore loser insulting others when win, lose, or draw, but he is also a very rude person in the real world. I said 'hi how are you?'; I got chided and roasted for being polite.

Long story short. Many people don't know decency these days..............

The vast majority of the accusations are made by players so weak that if their opponents are cheating, the are doing so incompetently.

I have reported players who survived the investigation, usually one or two per week. About 20% of those I’ve reported have been banned.

Last week, I was two for two, but the cheater was losing intentionally and trolling the forums.

I would like to report a cheater. He played seven engine recommended moves in a row in the opening quickly. His rating is lower than me and he beat me, must be a cheater.

Report it on the Cheating Forum if you want.

People can be real sore losers. Can't they? Sometimes low-rated players can also have a high accuracy.

I once had 98.4, my best accuracy rate ever.

Anyway, that NM is probably mean(I never met him in chess.com/real life)

A wonder he has such a good record and reputation. How does he have over 1000 followers?

Probably good that he's inactive; someone tell him he's not Magnus Carlsen.

Cheaters are banned when they are detected. There are various tools that are used to keep them from returning without permission; these tools are familiar to anyone who has run an online forum.

However, discussions of cheating in the main forum is not permitted, as it tends to become very heated and result in lots of public accusations, many of which are completely unfounded; you might be surprised how many cheating reports we get about low-rated players after a game that was a complete blunderfest. If all these reports were aired in public, it would just cause an ugly flame war. Therefore, I am locking this post.

To report a suspected cheater to the Support team, please select Report Abuse under the Help menu, or use this link: https://support.chess.com/customer/portal/emails/new. All reports are investigated, even if there is no immediate visible action.

To discuss the matter of cheating further, or to learn more about cheat detection, please join the Cheating Forum: https://www.chess.com/club/cheating-forum
