I doubt you're paying for your own electricity. You also probably didn't pay for the device you're using.
Freeloading is an underappreciated art.
I dont know ernestogon , id say the ability to engage in free speech allows for those with a pertinent view to reply , for example the posts from Dave of staff explaining very clearly the situation , so im all for free speech even if that speech is how shall we say ,,debateable . but yes free speech allows any to voice an opinion even if that opinion is flawed

+1 in principle but... what about pseudotheories like the "Flat Earth"? Or all the fake news that's flooding the Net?

What do we know about trolls?
Psychological studies show trolls tend to be male, show higher levels of psychopathy traits — low levels of empathy, guilt and responsibility for their actions — and higher levels of sadism traits, the enjoyment of causing others physical and psychological pain.
Trolls are also motivated by what psychologists call "atypical social rewards".
I'm sure that many of us here needed that information! Very helpful.

no, you just need to pay for a membership. idiotic troll😤👎. I’ll mute you when I become a mod
Reasons that will never happen:
1. You're not old enough yet (9 years to go!)
2. That would be considered abuse of power and you would be demoted fast
3. The chances of you being accepted are low
4. Even if you do somehow become moderator you will mute some guy for nothing and your status will be promptly revoked for abuse of power
I have never been muted except for this time I accidently spammed @myteachersam and he muted me for 60 minutes
no, I just need to wait until June (my account needs to be a year old) then I can do the form. I don’t know why you think I’m “9” but to be fair sometimes my parents want my 9 year old cousin to go on my account. I don’t let him play Live (shhh, don’t tell anyone. I’m supposed to let him play), but he does comment sometimes. This is me, and not my cousin, so just saying. BTW, I have seen the form you have to fill out, and it isn’t really hard. Now stop assuming I’m nine. Also, I had my old account since Jan 2009 or around there. If I’m nine, then how could my account be that old?
P.S. The comment you quoted as me
I always assumed you were 9 until you made your "its my 18th bday" thread. Also, is the account you're referring to the one with 2000 blitz rating?
Trolling means having too much free time and choosing not to do anything constructive or helpful towards oneself or the community one chose to belong.
The Titles that Chess.com recognises are in the FAQ - Arena titles are not included in that list.
Basic members are "free" in the sense that they don't have to pay: they get ads, which helps offset the costs. Any level of premium membership removes the ads, and you can decide exactly what benefits you're willing to pay for.
@superchessmachine: Enough with the lie that all members have to pay. Repeat it again and you will get a stronger sanction.
@Aizen89: each member can only have one active account at a time: you should have closed the new one as soon as you had made your point. I have closed it for you.
@Postafi: We have now had enough with your relentless negativity across multiple threads: if you don't have something positive to say about the site, don't say anything at all, or your ability to comment will be curtailed.

Well done, David!
You are going the next to be warned, so stop trolling
Some trolling is clever and funny. Other trolling is just dumb or even harmful.

We need to look for MGleason's seal of approval
