Chess is cancelled now!?

Naturally, he refused, calling out their BS, saying that they're wasting taxpayer's money on irrevelant topics, when there are real problems going on in the world.

Honestly, I agree with him. ABC had lost all of our trust a long time ago, now, they will cancel anything just for profit instead of facts. Why does NPC media even WANT to cancel it though? The queen is like the most POWERFUL piece and the king is the LEAST powerful piece!

This game should make the NPC media HAPPY by now! lol!

Honestly, as a chess player, this is just beyond pathetic! The NPC media are mad that white pieces goes first so now they're saying the game is racist!? What, was it because the white queen doesn't belong in the game because she's white? I guess that air is racist because it's not black!

I think the REAL reason why they hate chess is because it requires a brain to play.

the same that hate chess are the same that hate certain stuff and that promote certain things.... 

If these people think that trying to call chess racist will help players stop playing it, then they are wrong on a new level, because all they're doing right now is making ME want to play chess even more.

This is the Australian Broadcasting Corporation, and people have clearly never actually listened to the Afternoon Show with James Valentine. He's a satirist with a dry sense of humour who often takes a ridiculous premise or idea and seeks to "confirm" it with a faux sense of sincerity and/or outrage. The listeners normally get the joke and dial up to join in. That's the tone with which he would have been conducting this "discussion" about chess.

The articles bashing this supposed political correctness are the usual sort of conservative media outlets who run the tabloids.

We could play the chess variant where both player move in the same time. It would represent the real battle which each player could wait and see or make the move in the same time with their opponent.

There must be some rules adjustment to make it neat.

Lost respect for Rogers or Kasparov? Kasparov is the one who apparently fell for it. But then again, unless you know the Australians or are unfortunately one you wouldn't know their warped sense of humor. No offense Ozzies. You and the Kiwis are all great drinking buddies.

Lost respect for Ian Rogers. The guy doesn't know what he's talking about and he had no evidence to back up his claims.

It seems to me that Kasparov read it, probably replied to it in a serious manner to reply to the concept and not the actual belief it happened. Then people read it and blew it out of proportion. Ian Rogers then comes along and gives the same face value impression if true. I don't think he is attacking Kasparov or is there something about Ian Rogers I don't know? I think it's just two guys along with billions of others getting caught up in the twitter wars. 

A few years back I did that when the Ferguson shooting happened. I didn't sleep for weeks, debating people.

Me: You are dumb for thinking that.

Them: No you are dumber for thinking differently than us.

Me: No you are dumb dumbs for thinking I think differently than you guys.

Them: No you are really dumb, look at what you are tweeting.

Then it continued for a week and I stopped using Twitter. 

Yeah, this is exactly why I stopped using Twitter. Twitter has become a toxic website nowadays.
