FIDE Condemns Military Action; Takes Measures Against Russia, Belarus

A few years ago I'd have said keep all sport out of politics. Now, I'm of a very different opinion ....

FIDE's response in condemning military action is totally inadequate. To drive the message home that Russia's actions in respect of their invasion of Ukraine is totally unacceptable should be a ban on participation by  anyone representing Russia or Belarus in any event under FIDE's jurisdiction. 

Sorry, but players from those countries need to be told 'go away, you're not wanted while your leaders want war and threaten democracy in other countries.'

To players from Russia and Belarus  - spread the message that your country's leader is the cause of this 

Chess.com should also ban (temporarily?)  those nations' players if Chess.com supports democracy and the upholding of law and order in the world.
