Hello areez you looked to me a decent and promising kid. You are just 11 or 12 but still got some serious communication skills irrespective of the other children's of the country. I think this is the most lethal weapon that you are now acquiring but you don't know its potential. Study chess as much as you can with concentration I'm not pointing any particular section because I see you are just a kid ready to dive in the pool so i wont say go there or stop there.. study whatever you can ... openings .middle game .endings strategical chess. Tactics.. .. you dont have to be bothered for fide title or profile right now or going abroad for chess. My advice is to stay focused to your academic studies and give appropriate time to chess as well. There are still enough potential players in our country that can train you and make you a 2100 fide competitve player. At your age you are aiming high which is very inspiring and proud for me. Unfortunately it is the delimma of our country that we are crawling in almost every sport because of poor management and political affiliations. I don't know why you haven't yet play a live game??

It does take money to try and become a top chess player , entry fees in tourneys will be expensive as well ..... and weather you buy books , or pay for a coach .... neither will be cheap ... and the one big thing you need is something that can't be bought..... it's a natural ability .... Fischer had it , Mangus has it , Morphy had it ..... without it , it would take years of training just to be a GM ..... the kids you see that make master or GM , they have the gift built in ..... it's something that comes to them like breathing air for the rest of us ....thet don't have to think about how to be one ... it's just there .....

Hey dear I totally agree with you .. but tell me honestly if your own child ..grandchild or any relative shares the same desire to you. Would you encourage them or make them feel that their dreams are pathetic. You and most of us are done with our chess career so why can't we motivate those kids like him. Who knows what his future is? Even if he becomes a GM a normal GM it would be more than enough for the pride of his country. Let's let him watch the dream and not enslave him for no good reasons :)

IQ136 ..... Yes we can try to do that ..... what do you suggest , I'm not good enough to coach him , especially to get a GM rating , and there are some coaches on here .... but some of their prices are nuts , I saw one that was like 50 dollars an hour .... I wouldn't pay that .... I couldn't afford it , there use to be a coach that charged like 5 dollars .... but haven't seen that ad in a long time ..... there are some free decent chess books out there , which might help .... and there are areas on here to train on .... just not sure what to tell him .... I'd like to help just not sure as to how .....

Okay... so allow me to conclude the one thing that is most obvious... wait... it's...

the fact that proffesional chess training takes a lot of $$$!

Only aim to be world champ if you have that kind of $$$...

Nihil07

its good to see someone from Pakistan, so anxious and mad for a game loved by people only like us ;)

Will pray for you.

Hello everyone! I am Areez and I want to be the youngest World Chess Champion. Unfortunately, I live in a country where chess isn't widespread and I can't find any FIDE-rated tournaments in my city and anywhere nearby                                                 you are agood player areez.all the acheivers in the world acheived thier goal by working day and night. work hard so you can acheive your goal. try try try are the best words for you.

MuhammadAreez10

Thank you everyone! I appreciate your support.

I'm reconsidering whether should I aspire to be a SGM, or just play chess casually. I want to play OTB chess, but it is extremely hard to find chess tourneys in my city. Can someone, preferably a Pakistani, please tell me where are chess tournaments held in Faisalabad?

Dear Areez, you are still a beginer level player comparativly , i am among top 100 chess.com players from pakistan still i would get my ass kicked in any professional tournament in the country, you have to get better, alteast get 1800-200 standard rating on this site before thinking about doing it professionally :) it took me 3 years to get 1700 stadard rating, it might take me 2 more to reach 2000 :)

MuhammadAreez10

I'm trying to improve Hammad. Actually I'm not really putting in the effort needed. I shall soon begin learning seriously. Thanks!
