I happen to trust that @erik and staff are honest when they state that they don't use bots in the player pools. There's ample information posted through the years that enforce that trust, along with communicating with said staff.
Once someone gets it into their heads they're playing against bots, they see them everywhere, even when it's not true.

That's certainly your right.
My trust is based on experience with staff and seeing how things work here. I could be wrong in that trust but I'm very confident I'm not.

My actions are well in alignment with my words. You may not like the way I post and you're free to your opinions and dislikes. However, you've probably only seen a small fraction of my posts, and there's nothing there that is at odds with my actions, even in that small fraction.

I can back up Martin on this one. I'm constantly running across people who are very obviously using some form of browser plug-in, engine assistance, or letting a bot play for them, who routinely score up in the 90s. I report them constantly, and nothing gets done on my side, either, and yet I have a premium account. Over at the cheating forum, they deny that there's any real cheating going on at the lower levels, which of course doesn't make any sense. So no. It's not tied in with membership. They're ignoring it with everyone.

I probably can't find it but I'm pretty certain staff have also posted that they don't use bots on the random pools.

*sigh* there just aren’t that many cheaters out there - if you are reporting lots of your opponents, it’s because you have no idea what cheating really looks like. Which is why you’re not seeing any of them banned.
Maybe the cheating forum mods should allow people to post the games they think are suspicious in that forum’s threads so they can show how mistaken the person is about that opponent being a cheater. I don’t know if the admins are still showing people that when they’re messaged privately, but basically the strength of the cheat detection here has reached a point where chess.com actions actual cheaters without those admins having to report them separately
