I couldn't find any place to report users, so I just went here.

This is what the user said:

[No naming and shaming on the forums please]

I would like to report this user.

If I am doing this wrong, please tell me. I am a new user here, and still need to get the hang of things

Thanks,

bobthesmartypants

To report a player that has been abusive please send in a ticket.

most of  all next time just turn the chat off, block the person and don't play them again.

Thanks kco, I uderstand to disable chat next time I run into someone who is being vulgar. I read the requirements, and there is no need to report this. Next time I can just mute.

Three reasons I can see:

- Calling out and shaming can be abused; the accuser (intentionally or not) could point a finger at someone completely innocent.

- The offender might be doing it just for the attention. Shaming gives him what he wants.

- It gets away from the purpose of the forum, which is to discuss chess and other fun things.
