poor manners

I enjoy playing live chess on occasion and am really not that good. I am far too slow for short games but can  put together a strong game. I like to challenge stronger players so I can improve my game. I usually lose! Twice now I've been accused of cheating. I find this to be poor etiquette.  Just wanted feedback from veteran users of this site and also thank those stronger players who will take the time to "school" those of us still growing in strategy and tactics.

if video games taught me anything it's if you encounter enemies, you're heading in the right direction. Ali g

feel free to ignore kay as those posts are almost always irrelevant.

the best advice i've read of when dealing with accusers was from a titled player here (ozzie the penguin). when accused, he would simply give the accuser the link to report him.

Nobody in their right mind would accuse someone on your grade, as a cheat. You are either an attention- seeker, or a very bad troll. The decision is yours.

Are not your options the same?

CookedQueen

Nobody thinks you are a cheater. Why should someone think such dirty thoughts about you?

You are a honest person who just wants to have fun with a chess board, or am I wrong?

FM_Checkmate

that's true. If there was no kaynight here, then chess.com would have been gone a long time ago. The trolls here are the only ones keeping this place alive.

Am I considered a troll, kaynight?

Bon..I am a troll and a bad chess player, but I love the game..Guilty as charged.

Sounds like we are of the same mind. I love the game, I suck at it, but that just makes any vicymtories sweeter.

FM_Checkmate

What are vicymtories?

Oh, and I'm the same. Well, I can play pretty OK, I once beat my coach, but either than that, not the best. But the layout is cool and all the thinking makes me smart. LOL

Victories mixed with merlot. I beat the local master once, granted he was drunk and I did finish his game for him while he was passed out, but I'm taking a win when I can...

FM_Checkmate

Well, the coach sacked his queen. happy.png

The OP needs to join some groups. You'll get much better quality play there. You've been here 5 yrs....why no groups?

FM_Checkmate

Ronald, are you gonna make the *************************************** group?

It's never occurred to me to join a group, Ronald. What's that all about?

RonaldJosephCote

Chess.com must have 2000--3000 clubs.  Anything from soldiers to old people, coaches, friendships, etc.  You gotta have something in common;                                                                         https://www.chess.com/clubs/find

What did you have to pay to get him off the site for 24 hrs FM ??

FM_Checkmate

I dared him not to post for 1 week and I would give him 2 trophies... of my choice. He can't stand not posting, and that's why he isn't here, because that's the only thing he does here.

Bonsai_Dragon

is he muted?

RonaldJosephCote

That's IT?  2 trophies?   I don't think I can start the group because like you I have the free membership.  I could start a rumor saying he was muted. He did that to me last Sunday.        Bonsai---he just hasn't logged in for 12 hrs.  Hover your mouse over his name.    Crapablanca just busted him in his "Vulture Culture" thread. He just pasted and copied somebody else's complaint.

Bonsai_Dragon

I'm on my phone, Android app. it sucks, I'm going to have to use my laptop on the rare occasions I'm home.

Cherub_Enjel

You have cheating accusations mainly at the very high and very low levels. At the very low levels, it's because your opponents are really bad, losing to players making many mistakes, yet they can't see any of the mistakes and so call engine use.
