derek!!! wsg man!
UK BBC Chess Program.

yo, watta gwan meode? S'all good here. The program was ok, not brilliant, but was watchable. One of the dudes was a proper dundee united and got knocked out first round, but respect for playing to him.

what is their intended audience?
if you know nothing about chess it's impossible to follow
if you play chess there is no real analysis, or discussion of positions, or even a long enough shot to play along with
if you just want entertainment, well Sue does her best with some uninspiring material
doesn't work on any level...nice try BBC but no
also these are up and coming stars of the uk chess scene?.....Britain is f**ked at the next olympiad...only one has any sort of title, as far as i can see Lula is a candidate master
many are on here.....

so should chess.com do a piece on it's up and coming telly stars?

I sooooo wanted it to be a worthwhile watch, but it was just...awful.
"Thin, tired and scared," says the review in today's Guardian. I'm no fan of Lucy Mangan's work generally as a television reviewer, but she's bang on here.
This is on tomorrow on the telly. :-
