How come I'm often not notified when somebody resigns or loses on time?

You should NEVER be notified. The only on-screen message (while you are going on to the Next Game) is for winning by checkmate - not for timeouts or resignations - nor for draws.

On a related note: alerts are only to tell you it's your move.

But I usually am. Why would I have to be notified when I win by checkmate? Or lose that way?

What form does this notification take?

So that you can send a trophy perhaps?

Don't you think I would be aware of it if I won by checkmate?

Impressive - if you have many games with Conditional Moves leading to checkmate on the go.

I should be notified of all.

The games show up in your archive. Isn't that notification enough?

I NEVER get notified about a draw or timeout. (However, if my opponent types something in the chat box AFTER the game, I generally get an alert about that.)

What form does this notification take?

The same type as if my opponent just made a move.

As a premium member you lack the advantages of being a free member.

We always get notified at game's end by humongous but delightfully marvelous pop-up ads, that include the game result.

What do they look like?

Exactly.  I used to get notified all the time, but not anymore.
