Meanwhile, back at the Phailure Ranch things are really heating up. As of yesterday (July 4) the measured water temperature in eastern Lake Superior is all the way up to 44°F [6.7°C]. That's too hot to meet Michigan's commercial refrigeration requirements!

I wonder if I put those on the hood and trunk of my car, it would increase my gas milage and road handling performance. 
Just make your car look like a golf ball, with all those dimple looks, should do the trick !

Are you familiar with what a "Gurney flap" is? Its usefulness was discovered by accident when trying to improve Indy car performance, and now most helicopter designs incorporate a Gurney flap.
Named after racer/car designer Dan Gurney, who first exploited it when Bobby Unser was driving for him in 1971. The history is a hoot-- I especially like the third paragraph of the history section.
