I hate the flags I don't know. I have to hover over it to see where my opponent is from. I didn't come here to learn.... damn chess.com. Trying to make me remember flags.
Flags

i totally didn't see this, although there is that flags thread that blew up from the Ulster flag talk.

During a social studies project (I'm under 18), we had to research a country and draw the flag of that country. The first thing my social studies teacher did was remove Libya from our options, because the Libyan flag is just a green rectangle. Simple (yet meaningful like all the others) design!

In the UK, Green Flag is a motoring breakdown organisation - which is appropriate given that Libya is a major oil producer.

trying-to-play-someone-from-every-country is an amusing way to familarize with flags.

I don't think I've ever beaten anyone with the Russian flag. I don't like the U.S. or Israeli flag at all.

I thought you fought against violence?

sonme great flags we all should know and love:
libya:
nepal:
california:
greenland:
paraguay (both sides):
somalia:
vatican city:
to name a few.

wow! old glory is great. it's so dynamic and really simple at the same time. also, really influental and progressive:
and isreal (also very cool. the star of david is pretty in your face, but i think sentiment is understandable):
you'd be hard pressed to find a flag i don't like.
Every time I start a new game here on live chess I usually take a look at the rating of my opponent and his flag indicating where is he/she from.
I think everybody do the same.
There are some flags that make me worried more than others. Those guys from India or Indonesia really play very good. When I see the USA flag then I dont know what to think there are good and bad players.
Of course, this is only my perception and doesn't represent the truth in any way.
But the question is: what flag do you like the least and why?
