You guys have made this chat some kinda debate about beliefs when all it was supposed to be was a celebration thread 😕
You can lie about them, you can be bigoted…nothing is off the table simply because they think differently than you do
You are completely blind to it
To be fair, there is a lot of hate and bigotry directed towards certain groups in the US... such as white, straight, male, Christians. People can deny it, but it's easy to find examples... so it's not like you have no legitimate gripe in all this.
But I think (I hope) we can find common ground. For example it's good to treat people with respect. "Love your neighbor" and all that.
I don't think calling pride month a monstrosity follows that... not that I'm blameless. I've said some pretty awful things to people (on some of my past accounts) when these sorts of topics have come up.
