Poisonous mushrooms you should avoid. (I hope this paragraph won’t scare you. 😇)
Have you ever seen anything fascinating in your backyard such as attractive flowers or plants? You might be thinking, why would I fear that flower? Maybe because it’s hazardous like a snake. Here are 12 of the most fatal mushrooms that you should avoid and ask help to eliminate or maybe it can grow in your backyard.
Death cap: Do you enjoy consumable mushrooms? Some mushrooms can make a fine stew or other foods combined. Have you ever gone mushroom hunting? It’s an admired hobby among adventurous people or if you adore nature. The Death cap can live in some parts of Europe. Some of them are appetizing and some of them can kill you. It may look like a beauty but it’s the deadliest of the top 12 lethal mushrooms. It is simple to get bewildered by edible ones. High temperatures can’t even kill them if you eat them. Even if it’s properly cooked, it can damage human cells. Vomiting, bloody diarrhea, unbearable abdominal pain or even misery such as liver or kidney failure and central nervous system damage. Your blood sugar will go down and your body will produce less urine. What happens next if left untreated? Coma and very likely death.
Conocybe Filaris: This mushroom might look delightful and guiltless, but can cause death or dreadful aching. If you live in the Pacific Northwest, you are most likely going to encounter Conocybe Filaris if you’re going to explore forests or other places. If you decide to cook it for dinner, it has the same mycotoxins with the death cap. It takes 6-24 hours until the pain starts and damages your body. You will get the symptoms of food poisoning or the stomach flu. Liver or/and kidney failure is most likely from conocybe filaris.
Destroying Angels: This mushroom looks white and non-poisonous, but this mushroom abundantly spreaded in north america and it’s super toxic and not edible. Convulsions, diarrhea, vomiting, liver or/and kidney failure and even delirium happens after 5-24 hours of consumption often leading to death. They belong to genus amanita. Amanita Muscaria is probably the most well known horrible mushroom with a red cap and white dots. We’ve seen mushrooms that look acceptable but are lethally dangerous. Now there is one fungus that is so horrifying that it looks like it came straight out of hell.
Claterus Archeri: This mushroom looks like it was sent from space to destroy the human kind. Or it came straight out of hell to remind us to be nice people. Where does it come from? Well, it comes from Australia. It is also called the devil fingers. It spread to North America and Europe as well. This demon-like creature has 4 tentacles and a viskit-like fabric. The smell is so strong, it attracts flies from above and kills them? You thought. It is smarter than you think. It contaminates them and takes it home to spread its spores. Claterus Archeri is not alone. It is a close relative to ruber claterus. It expands in a very terrifying way that looks like a killer squid!
( I can’t find any white ones from the internet but it’s related.)
Devil’s claw: These monster-like creatures come from Arizona and were used to be made by basket weaving. These scary looking seed pods cling on to animals feet and travel place-to-place. Once they are crushed, the seeds fall out and are ready to grow at a new location so be careful with those if you want to get rid of them.
Bloody tooth: This fungus looks like it has killed a few victims already and is covered in their blood. It smells like fresh strawberries. It likes to live in the mountains of North America, Europe, Iran and South Korea. When it’s still young, it literally bleeds life out of its spores. If you fear nothing and decide to taste it, don’t. It is poisonous and will do you no good.
Porcupine Tomato: It comes from Madagascar it can grow 8 feet tall and 8 feet wide pretty quickly and it’s thorns/spikes are sharp as razors and highly toxic. If you see these in your backyard, beware. It can kill your flowers or something you grew. Ask for help to remove it immediately!!!
Fraxinella (A.K.A burning bush): It’s a flower that looks directly into your soul before killing you. It lives in Southern Europe, North Africa and most of Asia. 16-39 inches tall and looks beautiful like snapdragon but it is hiding the killer nature behind the little flowers. You can touch and not feel anything but the next day, you’ll start to feel the burns and bubbles which makes you feel feeble and oven-like.
Giant Hogweed: This flower is from the Caucasus Mountain region between the Black and Caspain Seas. It then spread to Europe and then North America decades later. What is so dangerous about it? If you touch its sap, it will irritate your skin leading to dryness and permanent scars and if you smell it, it will even make you blind.
Death Camus: These cute little white flowers can be a great summer decoration right? No! Do not even touch it and bring it home! The stems and sap in it has poison that contains zikozine.
It has been found in the Western U.S.A. Death Camus has bulbs which look like onion bulbs. If you ever confuse them with onions and eat some, vomiting, diarrhea, general weakness, and even coma will follow.
Oleander: If you ever traveled the Mediterranean region or pretty much anywhere in the subtropical, these pink beauties fully blooming on a tree, how beautiful! Sometimes, beauty kills and that is just the case. The toxins are so powerful, even honey from bees that pollinated its flowers can destroy or injure people very badly. Its leaves and sap can irritate and terminate your skin.
Doll’s eyes: These doll’s eyes are looking right into your soul waiting for you to eat them. These Bain Berries contain cardiogenic toxins on the whole plant. If you dare to eat them, they will immediately affect your cardiac muscle tissue and very likely kill you. If you think a doll's eyes is something that you are never going to meet, you are wrong. It lives in the Eastern North America and mostly lives in Canada where we live so be careful.
If you find any of these mushrooms/berries/flowers on this list. You know what to do. Stay safe, don’t touch it and stay on the healthy side of life.
