Personally I believe that some of them are salty about something and are trying to go out with a bang(I like to refer to these people as, 'Drama Knights'), and some just want to leave but accidentally ignite drama.
And some are just trying to get away from the negative clout they've gotten over time.
That's just my view though. What does everyone else think?

I think some of these people, have a genuine reason for posting such messages, but their are also those who’s reason’s for posting such a message , is simply to illicit sympathetic responses from the members, and once this has been achieved, they post these words, “ I’ve decided to stay “ 🤷♂️
In my experience with 'social media' when people post they are leaving it's for attention. Otherwise, if they intend to leave they just leave
People make a topic “ I’m leaving” not only because they want to leave, but also they want to be remembered and cared from others user. But there is one problem they need know that this is the huge community, not a small fandom. There are too many many users in here, it really hard to remember people’s name, hard to recognize who and who. I don’t have have any thought about this, but please stop doing this.

The I’m leaving topic is stupid nonsense. His many people get up and announce to a room full of strangers, most of who don’t know who they are, that they are leaving.

@Bacon - OK, I don't want to dredge anything up, it's just that I was away from here for a couple of months. I guess I missed a few things. So Colby's not here anymore? The feud's over? (I hope so.)
Edit - Ooh, I just re-read my post. I meant that I hope the feud's over, not that Colby's gone. While I wasn't a fan of his, I didn't harbor any ill will towards him.)
