bugs with the "show images and links" that was introduced to private messages some time ago, this, and many others like not being able to unfollow a post you've been blocked from STILL, are mostly not dealt with. Other bugs like clicking the notification for a post, expecting it to disappear only for it to remain there in your notifications, etc etc.
Yeah, I've had that too.
I don't think it's a bug, I think it just updates slowly sometimes. I assume Chess.com could fix it by upgrading their hardware.
AFAIK they did change the ability to unfollow posts you're blocked from... but even if not, the trick was to click on your post to edit it, and then the "unfollow" button will appear at the bottom.

lol, also when you clear the notifications by clicking on the "X" but they just don't clear. haha

If somebody’s blocked you and you wish to unfollow a particular thread just open one of your posts in it as to edit and it then allows you to unfollow. Is what I’ve gained by blocks lol
