lelz he needs to advertise like Xieff!

You just hit the nail on the head man! In the future I should probably make a rule that says candidates cannot campaign/ advertise on the official threads for the contest.

R u sure you want to?

Yes. I want to switch to SebLeb. I had voted for Xieff.

It's hilarious how noob you are for an old man. I mean irl you cannot just change your vote like that. It just shows ppl how either foolish and hasty you are, or how undecided and unpredictable you are. wowz

Really. In voting that takes place over two weeks, there is no opportunity to change one's vote. Who knew?

You are delusional.

I believe that because Xieff is a chess player, he is more likely to grow out of his brainwashing than the average cultist. Maybe I am delusional.

Too many quotes, folks.  Nobody reads them.  Just a hint.

Maybe some people don't take a troll poll on the internet as (un)seriously as real-life politics.

But apparently, you are not one of those people.

Xieff

No, I am doing it because I feel like "doing it". Guini: that is a compliment about the guy who says the world is only 6000 YO. It is obvious so that makes me smart and everyone else dumb. :D Ziryab: As for the chess player part you aren't making any sense.

So, you're saying that chess has had no positive effect on your thinking ability. That's too bad. A lot of folks think that it should, although SupremeOverlord disagrees. You can serve as his object lesson: a chess player whose logical skills fail to improve.

Look I don't see why my chess should improve my reasoning. It is clear that my reasoning is far stronget than any of you here. So why get better? :)

Maybe your superior intellect should have a more positive impact on your chess play.

Xieff

I am getting there guy. It doesn't happen overnight. However my rating is not going down. Plus keep in mind you don't know you are better. You declined my challenge because "You had too many games going". So lemme know when you want the lesson; I am available anytime. :)

He actually plays really good... just goes to show that chess has nothing to do with how smart you are at other things...

Xieff

I do agree to some extent. However I am plenty good at other things.

It would be better that you reset your limits, at least long enough for me to issue the challenge. I never accept challenges. Most of my games are tournaments and team matches. That's true here, and at CW (where I still play) and RHP (where I did play before chess.com).

Apparently the effect on your ego isn't small either.

LoekBergman

@Xieff: I think that you sometimes express yourself better than you think you did. Improvement is about getting better, you state that you do not have to improve, because you reason stronger.

Now stronger is something completely different than better. It is equivalent in chess, but not in reasoning. In reasoning means stronger that the reasoning is more rigid. The benefit is that it can be very fast, the downfall that it is not flexible and will always produce the same results.

The answer to your question why get better at reasoning is to get a broader experience of life.

Xieff

Look, I don't need to believe that I evolved from an apelike creature, and I am part of a kind that just happens to be the only advanced species, to have a good experience in life. Unfortunatly that would dampen life itself.
