ASDA ???

I wouldn't even send my butler there !

Snuffletwiit old fellow? I fear you may not be keeping up with the times. These days it's a better shop than M&S or Sainsbury's. We have no Waitrose so only Booths beats it these days. Not counting Fortnum's.

I say, I've just won a pawn against that ruffian, isn''t it the gentlemanly thing for him to resign now then ?

Avatar of Optimissed

Personally, I think they should resign when you've won two thirds of pawn, when they're playing their social superiors. But there's no telling what these socialist chappies will get up to next. Having said that, I have to admit that this subject brings into focus the occasionally somewhat contradictory side of human nature, since I'm currently a member of the UK labour Party, old thing. It was to keep my wife company in case she wants to go on one of those revolutionary marches, and to protect her against revolutionaries. So far, no revolutionary marches, thank Goodness.

"jolly good fun"...

"chap and chapesses"...

"ruffian"...

Entertaining fun from a new (and themed) account, but I wouldn't suppose that type of speech has been used in at least a century. xD

What exactly is a crumpet??

It is a British/English type of food similar to an English Muffin, or a baked cookie.

In contemporary USA, it would probably be called a Biscuit (not to be confused with "Biscuit" meaning "cookie" in Europe).

Again, an antiquated speaking-style...

Well, you can claim that you have a 100% win rate for now!

Maybe you can be hired as a chess coach soon! Your 100% game win rate and 100% puzzle win rate has already exceeded the best players on this site!
