Because of course everyone likes chess. And students would have more friends in chess class. Let's get schools to adopt chess classes.

It would be pretty cool, but doesn't seems that easy to find teachers. Here in my beloved third world country, the schools barely teach the regular stuff, not even in the best dreams they would teach chess in a good way lol

When I was in high school, I asked the principal about starting a chess club. He asked me to come up with a list of names. I never did so we never had a club. 😟
I have a chess club in my school and I'm part of it
I would love such a thing, but defeating my low rated friends every time would make it boring, I guess. But if there was pairing based on rating it would be fun.
