You're by far the most visibly active mod, FWIW.

I also appreciate the fact that he's a fully literate adult... unfortunately I can't confidently say the same of all mods.

"Don't work much"? shock lol..... sorry Martin.....I meant to imply that you're not on the site 24 hrs a day. nervous

Hey he has some hobbies. Maybe he can share a painting he’s been making in his free time

I just acquired four more red banners. Some kid typed fk and I didn't notice.

Even after deleting it and trying to repost, I got another red banner... I have no idea what triggered it the second time.

I acquired two more for trying to censor the word and explain it in this post, but apparently I didn't use enough asterisks so I'm going with "fk"

On my way to another 24 hour mute so...

That's certainly true, though sometimes it feels like it.

The irony being that I intentionally swore there but it's the unintentional swearing that ultimately gets me.

Gary Larson would probably be perma muted

paper_llama

I suppose it was a mod who unmuted me so quickly... thanks.

AlCzervik

Melmothy

Serious question for any Staff who wishes to chime in. I'm just curious, I don't want to start an argument. How come C.C did away with the "unanswered posts" category?...you know, where all the threads start. I thought that's where you could nip things in the bud before they metastasizeshock

It's not completely gone but it was removed as part of the optimisation efforts earlier in the year. It's a pretty heavy database query and until all the forum content is moved to its own database, it will likely not be in the quick links.

It's still accessable by direct link but may still occasionally throw 500 errors if the load is higher and the query takes too long.

RonaldJosephCote

T.Y. Martin. wink

Melmothy

Yes, best thing for you happy.png

martin, there have been times i've called you a mouthpiece for the site, making excuses.

this is one of those times your efforts show you as one of the few responsive people helping regular joes in need, so, the quick response is appreciated. (i try to call it as i see it, even if david doesn't think so)

on the point you made, is there a timetable for restoring the many issues we face? i read another forum topic where a programmer was talking about how easy it is to increase 'power' for all the additional things cc is doing.

really, it has been many months for us old fogies just looking for the restoration of what used to be regular functions.

All I know is that data that was in one of the larger databases is being split out into different ones. It's a lot of data and devs will also have to modify the code to make use of the new locations once they're ready to use those locations.

My understanding is some stuff is complete and others are still in progress.
