How about a ban on threads asking if women can play chess? Or alternatively an ignore function?

I've been around here for a few months now.
Also, I am a programmer, so I thought I had the whole "survival in a male-dominated field" thing down to pat.

Yet I find it is surprisingly disturbing to find almost daily threads about whether women are even capable of playing chess.
Can you even imagine the sheer absurdity??? They are discussing women's general ability to play chess with the same earnestness as people used to discuss whether women should even travel by train because their wombs could be ripped out of their bodies at breathtaking speeds of 40mph and more O.O

All of this wouldn't be so bad if there was a way of putting threads on ignore so *I* don't have to see them. Alas, there isn't.

So this is my question to chess.com: I already made the experience that you are very enthusiastic about ensuring that everyone has a great time on this site, so is there a way that I don't have to see people discussing whether I should even be here?
I understand that banning topics is icky-ish, so I'd be very happy about an ignore function.

Thanks for reading <3
