I just want to reiterate my opposition to the new Game Review. I've already posted in this thread once about it, but I cannot get over how much less useful the new version is. Please just revert it back to what it was.
New review presentation is awfull

For users without subscribe no possibility even to start generate review. How about get every user to know at least estimated rating?

Or, how about the option to choose?

I was noticing that the review stops and comments on the OTHER player now. I'm not sure exactly how to get it into this mode (or out of it) but it'll start fine and then skip my bad moves and go on to tell me how the other player made a mistake. Something is amiss...
Oh, I see, it's stopping on each highlighted move, regardless of player. I don't think it used to do that or maybe I'm confusing it with the moble app which works differently. Anyway, I'd like to be able to only stop on MY moves. I can go back to others if desired...
Click the settings icon next the board and you can change the behavior under Interface > Review > Review As and change it to the color you played in that game. in future reviews it will be the color you played.

Keeping two version of code means that any and every change has to be modified in two areas and tested in both areas. That's not something that is done long term.

erhhh... all you need is a single version with an option, not two different versions

Well, if two versions is not an option then just take the best option. I think it's pretty clear what the best one is when you read this thread. Besides... Don't tell me this is tested. You are beta testing it right now and we are the guinea pigs.

It was in the beta for three weeks before moving to a wider number of members for additional feedback.

has it occurred to you that it affects mainly paying members? free users only get 1 review per day, afair...

Question 1 : Do you think that the new revised game review is better than the old?
Question 2 : If you do think that it is better please tell us in what way it is better than the old?

What? Are there n versions of code for each skin to apply for board/piece style? Yes and no.

And by what metric of additional feedback are you and the team judging whether to move forward with this change? Very specifically.

I don't know what the specifics are for making those decisions, though my understanding is there are some changes being made based on the feedback but that a version of the new design will eventually be rolled out to everyone.

Personally, I find it as usable as the old version. For me, the things that were removed weren't things I was using. I'm mostly concerned with the score graph, classifications, and the ability to retry.
The presentation of the highlights on the initial screen isn't something that bothers me. All my other primary uses are still there.

There's a set of theme code that loads the appropriate graphics/assets. The real 3D close is going to be different, but I don't know how that's differentiated.
For review, any time something new is added, or a change is needed, if two versions were maintained, there would need to be work done on both to maintain.

Didn’t really answer the questions. Is it better? And in what way?

Ok, thanks for the tip, I'll try it. I would like to note that that's not obvious. I asked support how I could select "The color I played" as opposed to black or white. They didn't know. This could use some redesign. If the setting was set to "White", I'd expect it to always review White (which is pretty useless, I think we can agree). Same with Black. Therefore, better options might be:
Review from:
My side
Opponet's side
Both sides

Well, I can't try it because I can't get to the Settings inside a Game Review anymore. The gear icon (top right of board in Review) brings up (I imagine a buggy) overlay of white text on the left side of the board showing me the Chess Engine, etc. -- but no options dialog. I got to the settings somehow this morning but can't find a way to get back to them now.

I've noticed inconsistencies in this behavior as well. sometimes it skips a move (maybe because it was not noteworthy?) and sometimes it doesn't. Has anyone from chess.com dropped in to comment on this situation? When you have over 100 comments in a thread, and most of them thoughtful, it would be a good time to engage with your community.
