It will be good if they gave like a special badge for views
For example, 1000 views get this badge
10K views gets this badge
and so on
Bagdes should get cooler as they increase xD

There used to be points that people were getting by posting in forums or so. It just created flooding and spamming by (mostly) kids hunting achievements. So they removed them. If you start putting a badge for views it will just end up the same way.

You're right. But views isn't same though. You can't just gain it by spamming. And if the thing you said happens, as everyone is spamming, no one will click the profiles. So only way of gaining views will be by playing and being active xD
OR you could make thousands of alternate accounts and boost your views
That can't happen because you can only have 2-3 accounts. If you do open more, they will get banned probably
I've come to notice that quite a few people on this site like to compare and show off how many "views" their account has. So I had a thought on something that chess.com might be able to add for those looking to take their view comparison to the next level.
Currently, the way to view views (that wasn't on purpose
) is to check your profile and see how many times someone else has acknowledged your chess.com account since its creation. But what if... there was a seperate year-to-date version? There are 2 ways that I can think of that could work. One is to count the views since Jan 1st, and the other is to count up the views accumulated since this day 1 year ago. Obviously, both would only be accessible after Jan 1 and after the 1 year anniversary of the account, respectively.
I'm no expert (just the opposite, in fact), but I've got a feeling that this might not be a bad idea for all those that would like a deeper dive into what their view stats are. Give me your verdict below, and upvote or downvote to show your reaction. I'm mostly willing to discuss.
