Fully agree, add the flags.
Please add country flags to the tournament standings

Agree! I was also wishing to have easy-to-get stats of how many countries opponents I have played (summed by country), and like this request, it would be nice to have flags show when I'm just looking at my game archive list.
Something for the suggestion box, folks. Keep up the good work!

yes i also support this forum...but a question, what if the player has set his/her nationality to internaational???

chess is a game played by people, not by countries!
every game is played by people only......no game is played by countries....

@Aditya-I would guess that 'International' would be treated as just another country. That would be OK too, for me.
@others: Why pay attention to the countries? For some it would not matter. For me, I am interested, as I would guess are many others. Whether it is 95% correct or otherwise. Simple as that...
I always check a player's country. It is nice to see where in the world your opponent is. Maybe you have been there and can have an interesting chat which adds to the enjoyment and friendship this site aims to create. There is more to chess than the competition. How many friendships have developed thro' chess and other sports, games and pastimes which otherwise would never have happened? With regard to "International" perhaps people who use this classification should consider "anonymous" "unknown" or "don't belong anywhere".
My favorite part of this site is being able to see all the different countries that my opponents are from. In tournaments, however, the only way to see the flags on the list is by clicking on each player's name individually to prompt the box that shows the flag and blitz rating. This is cumbersome because the final standings don't appear until the first round starts, and there is usually not enough time in between games to click down the whole list; even if there is time due to finishing a game early, it means that you will have to be clicking on everyone's name instead of watching the other games in the round.
I have played over a hundred bullet tournaments so far, and have been enjoying and looking forward to them each hour, but needing to click on each person's name to see all the different locations has taken away from that experience. There is plenty of room on the simple board to add a flag icon (such as in between 'rank' and 'player'):
But if the designers only feel that there is room for a flag on the full board, then I would be happy to start using that instead. I'm sure that I'm not the only premium member who would welcome this minor change. Please voice your support if you would like to see this too.
