Join CVC!

We take pride in being an incredibly active club! We have a 100% activity rate and *nonstop* notes - you might even want to turn off your notes notifications! We are also a competitive Vote Chess club - we have hundreds of VC running right now and are 5th in the entire world. We're also very strong in Daily Matches - we've got coords making over 20 open seeks per day and are rapidly climbing the rankings. We're competitive on a level that we have a subsidiary club devoted to managing VC and Daily Matches - the CVC Powerhouse! Another cool thing we have is an incredibly active forums community - on average, we get 8-9 forums posted on a single day alone! People are always running fun games, competitions, and posting funny memes, and as a large club (over 7000+ members!!) we get invited to A LOT of multi-club tournaments and events like that!

We also have one of the most competent staff teams on Chess.com. I’ve been a member of CVC’s staff team for almost two years, and @Carlsen’s been managing clubs of this size for about the same. @Forsaken’s a hugely competent admin who’s going to be hosting Hurt/Heal V quite soon (awesome forum game, join CVC to find out more!).

Full disclosure: I am a super admin at CVC but I promise none of the above is biased (well maybe a little bit lol). I joined kinda by accident, stayed because it was an active club, and can honestly say that it is the single best community on chess.com! Don't take my word for it - go join!

One last note about CVC: It was founded by @Caleb341. Caleb left in August, 2025.

Here's a dead club (The Blitz Empire) that you can join if you want : ). Honestly, I have no plans to revive it, but the owner, @Curve2x might come back. He's been inactive recently, but he showed up a couple weeks ago, so maybe he´s coming back. (Apparently he got one of those fancy ChessUp boards)

P.S. I'm planning on posting a VC data blog. If you don't already know, I'm a stats nerd, and collect a ton of VC data focusing on the Top 16. (Oct 26 update: Um this is probably never happening ;-;)

My Graveyard:

@TerminalNZ Went dark in early 2024. Terminal, or Natural Molecule was around from the very start of CVC. Mysteriously went inactive, then closed like half a year later. He was part of the first great group of staff in CVC.

@BattleChessPlayer007 Closed Feb 13, 2025. I didn't know him too well, but learned more about him before he closed. Farewell Blog Link

@Jared - Former Super Admin of CVC, along with many, many other massive clubs. One of the all around greatest club administrators of all time, as well as a genuinely nice person and great friend. He left to focus on his life and school. Farewell Blog Link

@Caleb341 - Caleb was not only a true legend, but one of my closest friends on chess.com. He singlehandedly built his tiny club from the ground up to become one of the greatest online communities on chess.com. Then, in the summer of 2025, he went offline, and bequeathed his club to his admins. He was a person who was incredibly driven and ambitious, but also kind, thoughtful, and forgiving. While he is sorely missed on chess.com, I for one am certain he’s doing great things in real life. Forum Explanation

@F1-24 - one of the greatest staff members of CVC. He recently retired, though he holds a staff emeritus role in the HQ.
