Also, please note that nominations for the contest have already closed, so no new nominees may be added onto the ballot. By Troll, you mean who is the funniest person who posts?  Or who is the most mean spirited, confrontation - seeking, annoying one?

Which type do you mean here?

macer75

Yes, you can. Even after the contest has ended and you win, you can still refuse to receive your award. But of course I don't think that will actually happen.

Btw, I thought u were gonna vote for Sebleb.

Well, it's up to you to decide. Who do you think was the most outstanding at trolling, either by being outrageously funny or by being incredibly annoying?

Oh, ok.  I suppose it could mean either - or.

bean_Fischer

I have made up my mind. I was going to vote for his lesson, but he is not funny at all. He fails.

I have looked at the list one by one. And My choice is TAW82. I think he is funny because he certainly has no slightest idea with his posts. Yet he posted them thinking he would get applause. Well TAW82 you are a troll.

Unfortunately nominations have closed, so no new nominees can be put on the ballot.

I vote for TheARBChessSystem

I've fed him regularly.

macer75

So far it seems like a pretty even race!

I vote for him too. As a sidenote, when I messaged him and asked him to stop trolling, he blocked me! (first time I've ever been blocked, I think).

Irontiger

I made up my mind, and decided to vote for a disruptive troll instead of a funny one ; one who would destroy the forums the fastest.

90007000 is just an attention seeker, so does not present any real danger. BigOto is just an "all work and no play" Jack, and causes no disruption. macer75 is no serious contender either. Sebleb is actually trying to help, though borderline attention-seeker, so he's out too. TheARBChessSystem,  is of the same kind of toothless trolls.

All links of SupremeOverlord but the first one are nice and mild trolling. However, I dismissed him still, because despite his aggressivity, he actually makes logical argumentation about a point related to chess.

Ultimate_Fighter looks like a serious contender ; however, I attribute his posts to ignorance and his aggressivity to youth.

The two remaining contenders, TheArtofWar and Xieff, are serious trolls, but of a different kind. Although Xieff made a trolling thread intentionally, proving malignity, TheArtofWar has such a huge ego that the game is roughly equal.

Despite having myself nominated Xieff, I finally decide to vote for TheArtofWar82, who displays in a nutshell the perfect trolling attitude of switching the topic at will, ignoring arguments, aggressivity and pride AND all this in a chess-related topic. But if Xieff talked more about himself, he would have gotten my vote.

LoekBergman

I vote for SupremeOverlord, because he is 'sincerely' looking to disbalance your expectations and he is funny.  His thread about posting your immortal games was a laugh. I took the bait, because I was wondering if it was indeed a collection of beautiful games.

I don't understand the reasoning of Irontiger. Considering his own behaviour should he be perfectly capable of defining what a good and entertaining troll is, but to select the two that are actually very serious about what they write?

That is an argument in the category of 'explode the airplane to prevent a terroristic attack'-fallacy.

What is the price? Becoming banned without a warning, but not entering the cheater list? Or 15 minutes of fame with an interview about a not favorite subject?

I vote for LoekBergman ! Smile
