Lombard RAC Rally is a 1988 rally computer game developed by Red Rat Software and published by Mandarin Software. As far as I recall, this is the second after the Test drive 1 (1987) auto simulator in 3-D format and the first 3-D rally simulator.

The game was based on the same rally (under the earlier sponsors' names) as the later Network Q RAC Rally games, and was the first of a series of related games published by Europress. It was released for the Atari ST, Amiga and MS-DOS formats. I show you the MS-DOS (PC) version.

For the first time, I played this game in the early 1990's. She attracted a great graphics and gameplay by that time. The game can be started in color mode CGA and EGA. Also, this game is difficult to pass.

And if single races still can be driven (which you can be sure of watching a video with my passage), then just going through the full championship is a very difficult task. Participation in the championship is complicated by the lack of repairs and the fact that the position of the point on the map does not correspond to the specific position of your car on the track.

Basic controls = Up, Down, Left, Right key

Shift accelerate UP =   Space bar,

Shift accelerate DOWN =  Space bar + Down key

For upgrade and repair your car you are need virtual Pounds sterling. In order to earn them you must get Top 3 places or/and show the best result of the race.  You can also earn pounds sterling in a peculiar mode as TV Interview.My TV Interview video:
